Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course

does anyone have any idea what is gong on at this track?
I sent them a few emails but none were replied to.
I desperately want to start attending live racing there but refuse to unless I am able to go outside to the paddock or apron, etc...
also any news on when or if the poker room will ever reopen?
thanks

You are permitted to be on the apron/paddock area. I don't have an answer on the poker room however.

I was about to comment on that. as I'm watching live video now and see people outside at the paddock. last info I read on their website was no one allowed outside. Guess I'll show up there soon. most likely on a Wednesday or Friday, seeing as how Tuesdays are pretty slim for racing at other tracks. It's about a 100 minute drive round trip(and I drive very fast) so would like action from simulcasting.
Thanks for your reply.
anyone know if Laurel is now admitting fans as well?

Very few tracks with live attendance are actually reporting live attendance anymore. In many of the cases it's because of free admission - no one going through any turnstiles.

Based on your logic in this thread, a diaper would be the only appropriate thing to cover your mouth.

Based on your logic in this thread...

I find your use of the word logic intriguing.

you can go on the apron at pen but they have a nice clubhouse upstairs with a balcony overlooking the paddock and that is where i would recommend playing.

the latest i've heard on the poker room is that it is supposed to reopen eventually and will remain where it is..... which i think is the correct decision.

they are changing the buffet in the back into a barstool sports section.

good luck!!

Logic and Penn National

Logic and Penn National. I was there about 3-4 years ago. They had a sign in the racebook that read "NO cigar smoking. Cigarette smoking only".

that sign was most likely from complaints I'm sure. I used to frequent Pen in the latter 80's/early 90's by myself and the whole freakin' 2nd floor smelled like cheap cigar smoke, that was centered around that tiny little cafe. Wasn't even allowed into the track when I first started going there as a kid. They had a NO KIDS policy. This was about 1976. Used to go there with my dad every Sunday all through the 80's.
ah, the memories of the old Pen, before the casino was built.

i never played much in that section but if such a sign existed it was probably due to a player known as sea monkey blasting the clerks with huge clouds of smoke on the weekends.
