12/8 Tampa R3 - Smooth as Glass

Boy, I know this is the game for me when the horse Smooth as Glass can go off at odds of 3-5.
Who in their right mind would bet that horse at 3-5?


I initially loved the after capping the race card last night.
But then I knew I was in serious trouble when the horse was an early scratch. I knew then the was going to be the certain chalk(was going to be favored regardless of the scratch), but never would have guessed 3-5.
The should have been more like 9-5.

Where do all of these idiots with $ to burn come from?

yes, that is a very good question.
to be honest, no I didn't.
I didn't make a bet in the race. I only had the as my pick in 2 separate lockdown online tourneys with the as my backup choice. Like I said, I was very high on the , but with the scratch of the , I should have been able to get off him.

That being said, the winner was very, very playable at 9-1. I am still somewhat of a newbie when it comes to tourneys. Especially capping Tampa. I favor capping the big tracks, even though I crafted my skill at MD tracks, until simulcasting changed the racing scene forever.



only bet I made for the day was the in the last race. He looked like he had a good shot to win until having no room in the stretch.
I did like the Battle Charge a lot in the 7th, but wanted better odds on him than 5-2. He did win pretty easily as the 3rd choice.

my point is the was never in a million years worthy of being 3-5.
And I'm saying that even after really liking him a lot from capping the race the previous night. The scratch of the totally changed the whole complexion of the race. The quite possibly might have been the pace setter. The IMO wins the race if the doesn't scratch.


the previous two winners were very worthy of their 3-5 odds. NOT THE
