It’s very simple. Simple enough that you can understand. California has an open primary. Republicans and Democrats run in the same primary and the two top vote getters go on to the general election. All Republicans need to do is get the second most number of votes in the primary.

Hence jersey which was a 7-5 dem state 6 years ago has turned to an 11-1 dem state.
Including ousting the author of the Obamacare repeal bill
The dumb states get redder and the smarter bluer.

You answered it all by yourself.
Liberals can not like Jeff Sessions but be upset the new AG will replace Rosenstein on oversight.
Proud of you!

You appear to be assuming that more Americans going to college equates to Americans becoming more educated?

Awww....you're upset because finally during Trump's tenure in the White House, this country will get a real AG.
As I said previously, you and your ilk weren't upset when Obama had his wing man Holder, but now you girls have your panties in an uproar because you think Trump might pull an Obama and get his own wing man? Tsk, tsk..

Goes to show the wisdom of adopting a political system that avoids mob rule.

maybe it is time to split the country into 3 countries
- west coast, fly-over, northeast
but so many people from the 'smarter states' keep leaving to the 'dumber states' - what's up with that?

Joisey also has the toxic dumpsites.
That might explain the blue hue.

You obviously do not have any black friends, and it is obvious Rush Limbaugh is corroding your brain cells.
Eric Holder: President Obama's Heat Shield
https://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2...bamas-wingman/
It is not as insidious as the right wing echo chamber implies.
Colloquially..
1-a best friend; "sidekick"
2-a male who helps a person find a sexual partner for the night, e.g. by speaking positively about the person.
3-a person who helps another through a difficult experience.
Even the original....
a pilot whose aircraft is positioned behind and outside the leading aircraft in a formation.
Not only that, Eric Holder was not set up to run interference between a president and an investigation by a government agency, obstructing justice. Any evidence he was?
In context
Eric Holder: President Obama's Heat Shield
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/20...ld_299475.html
Holder, whose position is formally less political than any other in the cabinet, is a vital political figure in the Obama Administration for three reasons. First, he has, without major exceptions, backed the president's views on executive power. Second, he has owned and absorbed the flack for many of the Administration's most politically challenging battles, from racially-charged fights over voting rights to the battle over so called "gunwalking" on the Mexican border. The third reason is simple: He has not led any politically damaging investigations into the Obama Administration.

Maybe not as smart as you?. But it is a reasonable assumption.
What are your metrics.? Hours of soap operas watched? Hours of Trump TV? Debates on the internet?

Most universities are liberal breeding grounds. Either a class is neutral or left.
I've never taken a class that leaned right, and I have 4 degrees so I've taken a lot of college classes by now.
Students think they're enlightened by going to college, when what really happens is the professors just ingrain their biases onto young minds.

Then why go and acquire 4 degrees?
A closet liberal or commie?
I will send a note to whomever keeps track of the changing demographics to delete you. 1/10000000th the impact on the stats of changing voting dynamics. Unless someone else from PA OT is as equally confused.
Oh well.

Try hiring one of those newly intelligent college grads. They ain't gonna blind you with their wisdom. It's sad to see what's consistently produced at our "higher learning" centers across America.
