Fun race to handicap, glad I threw this one in there; refreshing.
Terribly competitive . . . I've got four of em' in this one: High Crime; Call Paul; Seismic Jolt and Country Singer.
High Crime, little gate antsy first out, comes in 2nd, 6 lengths back; 6 weeks later w/one sharp 5f work wins in a breeze; comes back to challenge in the Swale 3 weeks later, not a single work . . . Darrin Miller knows somethin' I don't; nice breeding - CD is dead on for the distance. Something about this whole set up gots me believin'.
Call Paul, class of the field, can't be denied; won his last race @ 7f driving - nice; two brief 3f works in two months. OK, rob the bank High Crimes is comin in w/no works and Call Paul is comin in w/2, 3f works in two months, what gives . . .
Seismic Jolt, two impressive wins in last two at GP; drew off driving and ridden out; comes in w/one work - guess he fits the pattern; rounding into form here as his LP is getting stronger; tough.
Country Singer, two impressive wins in last two, pulled away and kicked clear; comes in w/ three works and gets a jock switch; needs a good ride; there is that Harlan's Holiday/Songandaprayer breeding again . . .
I figure there will be a Seismic Jolt when High Crimes robs the bank, again . . . then Calls Paul to hire a Country Singer and sings all the way to Margaritaville.
