Just curious

I have been hard at work for awhile and been designing my google sheets version for handicapping. It takes all the pioneers into account etc. and have some sucess in terms of picking winners and horses in the money as they say. I have tried these softwares during my years of handicapping. tried Bet Mix, way too information even for me. Not knocking it. I have Valuecapper 2.0 excellent product but again they are not my numbers all the time and I use at as a tool or a way to structure. I recently used Bris with his Allways software design using Excel and it is a great free design. It takes a bit of time to sort at it. I, however have this huge argument about having to pay for huge amounts of data, in order to machine learn and have your system in play. I guess my question is besides using Formulator which is an excellent pp product. Is there a conversion from a DRF pdf file pp that can be downloaded like a csv file into a spreadsheet, the same way Allways did it. It is an enormous task to create a template for this...I am trying something similar but perhaps a little more creative in terms of data manipulation or being able to do your own work.

Any thoughts or ideas on this???????

I would suggest using a MS Access DB for 'wrangling' all types of files.

You have to pay for Microsoft Office so...until I have my job back, I watched a program on how it works, it is interesting in terms of tables and and combining data..

Yes I update every Wed morning unless there's some rare event like an outage of some sort.

Quite a deal right now if legit, I don't really need it because I'm fine with Office 2010:

Tempted to grab it anyway at that price.

Bris stopped it a long time ago.....

lots of converters online, Ray from Allways developed his site from excel and uses jcapper files or bris. I am just trying to find out why no one ever developed a csv etc. using drf past performance file that could be inserted or downloaded. I have been trying to develop a template that would allow this similar to ray.

Formulator used to have an export feature.
Did that go away?

Like I said before.....

All the converters on-line can not comprehend Bris's PDF PP's

Its too complicated and Bris made sure that nothing out there can do it..

DRF Files are different ...they have a structure that is actually published for software users to compile ...

Even I have used JCapper files for some of my projects...

Yep, I'm sure that's not the only one and several are probably no longer with us because horses don't drop off of the list until 6 months has passed since their last race.
