Hey Vic,

If Nancy is that good, maybe you'd raise more money by promising to throw in a few of her insights too.

The more the merrier.

Weird flex that you didn't include that in your initial post here. Now that I know this, I can put this thread back up, since it's for charity.
Makes sense. I probably should have put that into the initial thread. Tina and I try to rep the Chaplaincy pretty much year-round and lots of people, well at least here in Arkansas know that.

Thanks for putting it back up.

Well, he did call me a jerk and accuse me of malfeasance.

Personally I stopped caring what he says about anything over a decade ago.

But I did want the people to know their contributions for the film reviews were helping a good cause.

I'm gonna continue to do my thing and let racing fans decide for themselves if I'm a good person or not.

Thanks again for letting me get the message out.

MASSIVE amount of work ahead. Let's GO!

I think it’s great that the fee for his racing analysis is going to a good cause. It does seem a bit after the factish but in any event a good save. Honestly the $75 donation seems a bit steep. I would have said donate what you can afford because some people aren’t into betting much but love handicapper analysis. I know old guys who live for shows like “ Talking Horses “ and will bet a few bucks to WPS off the picks. Anyway I hope it’s a successful fundraiser.

count me in

I think this is a great initiative, especially as its for charity, and I usually have no clue when it comes to Keeneland

Join the party, I don’t think I have ever cashed more than a couple tickets at Keeneland. And I used to go and spend 3 days twice a year.

Been playing all meet, its definitely a challenge. Have not had a winning day yet, breaking even is a success.

My compliments, sir. A great idea and a noble cause. The scope of your project, btw, does sound daunting.

I love someone who has that much self-confidence.

All great handicappers have that in common.

As I've said several times. These reports WILL NOT be selections. They will be analysis of previous races of all horses running in the Breeders' Cup.

I was working last night on the Classic. Here are a couple examples....

TAIBA--- When we watch movies for horses at this level. Of course, we look to check all the boxes. Class, stamina, elite ability. They are pretty much a given. Then some reach the next level by exhibiting brilliance. Running races that make our blood boil and/or the hair on the back of our next stand up. TAIBA'S win in the PA DERBY provided just that. Didn't break particularly sharp, no problem, Smith corrected that by asking for an early burst to gain position. Going to the 5/8ths pole he was still pumped up from that early ask. But tactics called for him to be capable of turning it off to sit in a tight spot. Again, no problem. He can handle that. Then it's time to go get the money. Angle out, explode and in 3 strides the race was over. 3yo's are always very dangerous in this race. This guy is a very serious horse.

CYBERKNIFE--- I got to know this guy very well last spring as his road to KY went through Oaklawn. Always extremely talented. What I was looking forward to was a maturation of that talent with an evolution away from all the mistakes he makes. At OP he would be antsy in the gate and refuse to settle early. Climbing into the dirt hitting his face at the first turn. Eventually he'd get his way and Florent would just give up and give him his head. At that point and against that company (SECRET OATH) he got away with it. So, I was super excited to see the new and improved and more intelligent version of CYBERKNIFE in October. Well not so much. There he was again doing all the crap that a horse cannot do when trying to beat the best. It's as if he's learned NOTHING. Rank outsider.

As for the contribution there's a portal at www.arkansasracetrackchaplaincy.com where you can donate (tax deductable). You can also send a check made out to the ARKANSAS RACETRACK CHAPLAINCY to OAKLAWN RACING CASINO RESORT Atten: Vic Stauffer announcers booth. 2705 Central Ave, Hot Springs, AR. 71901

Curious are you offering 10-1 in a heads up match?

They have the link.

Sometimes we benefit by trying to pay it forward.

What makes you the grand arbiter about how I choose to live my life?

You don't know the first foggiest thing about me.

Buzz off!

Wish I could say that Swifty.

Shouldn't have responded to that previous drivel.

Really having fun doing the work. Did the rest of the Classic today.

Started on the Juvenile Fillies Dirt.

Gonna pay off on November 4th and 5th.

Looking forward.

Let's GO!
