Edgar Paucar's steep decline has been cringe-worthy. Was never a fan, but now I'm starting to wonder if he should even be accepting mounts.

Corrales, Bracho, Barbaran, Ramos, and Quinones are the best riders IMO. Rodriquez is a money burner and Perez isn’t getting good mounts. Leon is getting better and Salazar came in hot last year and I think he will be good going forward. The rest stink. Where has Megan Fadlovich been MountainMan?!
Also ...what was up with that horrible payout in the late daily double today? 21.00 and 82.00 horses and two dollar double of only $224? Can we chalk it up to a small pool of only ~$3700 and someone having it multiple times? The winner of the 7th took early money but it wasn’t that significant.

My LVEF rate bumped up from 20% to 50%, which she said was good.)

Mahoning CAN be easy: When the temperatures fall and the weather gets bad, find the F1 winners and back them....
Few horses move up ON THAT TRACK in the cold.
Yesterday 1st winner 1.5 lengths back at the 2nd call, 2nd wired, 3rd 1.75 lengths back, 4 wired, 5 back a head at the 2nd call, 6th wired, 7 wired, 8 wired.
COLD and BOLD is the watchword at extreme weather winter tracks.....Aqueduct can be the same way for long spells as has Parx for days at a time.

it was 65 degrees yesterday, sir.
but your point is well-taken, and i have observed that speed tends to hold better when temps drop during the card.

patience has never been his game. not even in his prime. houghton's stratospheric win total is great proof that speed IS the universal bias. plucky guy, incidentally, who tells the stewards to "stick it" when they take issue with one of his rides.

Weather-wise, here in Jersey we haven't really had a winter, so unfortunately not many chances to test your theory this season.
