Here we go again with cherry picking stats.
Here is what was in the headline.
Unemployment up in 28 states from June to July.
Unemployment down in 8 states.
Same in 14.

Also in the story:
Unemployment up in only nine states compared to June 2012.
Unemployment down in thirty six states compared to June 2012
Same in five states.

Here is something you would learn if you did your own research instead of just posting links.

There were 28 states in which unemployment went up. In twenty of those states payroll employment increased. If the number of people with jobs goes up at the same time the unemployment rate goes up, that means one thing.
People are returning to the job market. And that means things are getting better.

The payroll can go up , great . But if it means a Dad trying to put two kids
through college with two part time jobs with zero benefits . That's grim!
I see this in my area all to often .
The other scenario is what I found out speaking with a Temp agency recruiter who lives nearby.
She said she's doing very well . Again , this is temp employment . This
could be part or full time . No benefits or paid time for these employees and
it's TEMPORARY! I don't see these things as a positive trend .

exactly right. When Bush was Prez they were Mcjobs......now they are life savers that should be counted as a great victory for Democratic Party! (say that last part with Russian accent)

Mosty thinks it's great, unless you live in one of those 28 states I guess?

Btw, it's amazing how far Dems will go to analyze these numbers now days. They will dig down until they find some way to polish the turd and then present it as a trophy............

23 million out of work......still. as many as 12 million under employed with no hope for "change" get it.......????

Good work again looking up the truth. Don't go too hard on Ralph. He wants to see everyone working and enjoying the good life like he is. By pointing out the human suffrage, he's being our undercover comrade.

As usual most people can't see the BIG PIC. You hear the morons....its Bushes fault.....its Obamas fault. This has been developing for about 30 years or more. Policies are implemented and Americans on the most part think things (economics) change over night. They blamed Bush and Obama when things went south and then expect this thing to correct itself in 6 months.......yeah right, hold your breath on that one. We are now competing in a true world economy, the trade is so open that EVERY country capable is trying to get a piece of the action. Through policy we have created this "world of trade", it was mostly our doing.....we encouraged this to happen over decades since the second world war and the cold war. The global corporations can go almost where ever they want, hire who they want and trade to whoever they want to. We no longer hold the trump card.....it was temporary, we are up against everyone else now for business purposes. The banking fiasco just sped everything up that was coming anyhow. We don't own the most powerful corporations anymore, they are truly multi national. In other words if your people are not educated, willing to work hard, you have a crappy health care system that employers have to support, and the tax structure is counter to PRODUCTIVITY.....they take their business elsewhere. This situation of the economy just slowly moving along could last for a long, long time....doesn't matter who they make president...that guy or girl will promise everything under the sun.......like they always do....if we don't shake things up and improve our education, infastructure and sit around bickering......like we love to do.........we are falling BEHIND by the day........there are other countries that i'm sure are laughing at us behind closed doors(and openly)...China was a sh*t stain on the map when i was a kid...we created this and now we look like fools when its actually implemented. PRODUCTIVITY....if you can't produce......in this day...........YOU LOSE. Remember the Soviet Union???? It died because they couldn't produce ANYTHING, ANYONE wanted...we think we can get by on banking and Wal Mart jobs.....GOOD LUCK.

Superficial truth without regard to the underlying reality. It's all about what the numbers mean in human terms, and who gets to control the numbers. The unemployment rate goes down when a full time job is eliminated and 2 part time jobs are created. Few would consider that economic growth.

Can you elaborate to us the meaning of "suffrage" .. or is that like 'welfare" in your special dictionary?
