I hang with a far tougher and smarter crowd than that! He had some nuggets but definitely has a ways to go before he pisses me off or something of that nature!

A little quiz to keep everyone on their toes ...
Which horse excluding Gronkowski ( since he is a euro invite ) has ran the least amount of times against horses currently in the top 20 in their career ?

Which horse (excluding Gronkowski) has never won a race on dirt in the United States?

Which horse (of the Top 20) outside of Gronkowski, has NEVER had an Owner, Trainer, Jockey, Sire, or even Damsire that, all told, has NEVER finished in the Trifecta of a Kentucky Derby?

Has Justify even ever had a actual race yet ? The first two “races” were 5 horse paid workout fields made up of claiming/low level allowance horses and the third “ race “ was another paid workout where Bolt just let Justify leisurely jog around the track and still Justify could only win by a few lengths.
On the bright side at least it will be quick lol. Justify will break a step slow as usual and get shuffled way back and than for the first time ever he will get bumped and take dirt and slowly after that he will be eased by Mike Smith.

Seems you have it all figured out with.your hatred of Justify........if you can find a casino or sports book to wager that Justify won't win the derby, you should unload your house, car & bank account against him.

He does make one fair point in Justify can break a step slow. It’s something a horse can easily get away with in a short field but can be quite costly in a Derby stampede. Mike Smith has some additional recent experience with that on Unique Bella.

I don’t hate Justify but at the same time I don’t have a emotional need for him to be the next American Pharoah, therefore I can look at him in a reality based way and to be honest I have not seen anything to show me he belongs in the derby field much less be the favorite. Mendelssohn outclasses him so much that I almost feel it’s disrespectful to Mendelssohn to even compare the two.
Your right though if I could find a prop bet somewhere where I could just straight up bet against Justify it would take the guess work out of handicapping the rest of the field. Or even better if I could find somewhere that’s doing horse vs. horse matchups would be even better. There are a few price horses that will beat him for sure like Hofburg. I would get great odds in a head to head there or if I really wanted to swing for the fences I could go with my longshot special to run big and that’s Bravazo . I am 99.9% sure he also beats Justify.

You're right. Justify doesn't belong in the Derby field. He is undefeated. Just ran the best speed number of any horse (supposedly) at 9F, and earned enough points in that win to be in the race.
You say he has no chance, and base YOURSELF, on reality.
Mendelssohn has yet to beat a legit American horse on dirt at any sort of distance which an across the pond 3YO horse in the Kentucky Derby has ever proved they can do. YET, in your skillful mind, he is by far and away the CLASS of the field. You even stoop so low as to say it is disrespectful to compare the two.
What would you say if I said last year that World Approval could travel across the pond as a fascinating turf horse and romp in the Arc de Triomphe whipping every Euro that even tried to contend with him?
You'd call me bloody batshit crazy wouldn't you?

Turf is not even Mendelsshons best surface. He was bred for dirt and his highest figure he earned was on dirt yet he came over to America and dominated in the biggest turf race for 2 yr olds. Just imagine what he will do on dirt here ...
