Nugent
http://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/22/us...sult.html?_r=0
HOUSTON — The rock guitarist Ted Nugent, responding to cascading criticism that had become an embarrassment for his conservative Republican allies, apologized Friday for calling President Obama a “subhuman mongrel.” But Democrats expressed frustration that their calls for an apology from the Texas Republican who took Mr. Nugent on the campaign trail had been ignored.
Mr. Nugent’s description of the president and his two appearances on Tuesday with Greg Abbott, the Texas attorney general and Republican front-runner in the race for governor, have put Mr. Abbott on the defensive. After the remarks generated national attention, Mr. Nugent’s language drew criticism on Thursday from prominent Republicans, including Gov. Rick Perry, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, though those three stopped short of criticizing Mr. Abbott’s decision to campaign with Mr. Nugent.

First Lady Michelle Obama said Thursday that young people need health insurance because they’re “knuckleheads,” as she touted Obamacare during her appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
“A lot of young people think they’re invincible,” Obama. “But they truth is young people are knuckleheads. They’re the ones who are cooking for the first time and slice their finger open. They’re dancing on the bar stool.”

Nugent's comments were disgraceful. They say more about the state of his pea brain mind, than anything else.
I think Abbott has distanced himself from the man and his remarks.
Nugent issued a rather insincere apology. He truly is a pea brain.

Husker,
“Subhuman mongrel” is way, way, down,.. heads below... knucklehead.
But I guess Michelle will get much more grief than Ted.

Michelle was just once again reaching out to Obama's base. She just forgot to take her own advice about not calling the knuckleheads that vote for Obama "knuckleheads" to their faces.

While speaking in Delaware, Ohio, Michelle Obama told supporters they should reach out to the "knuckleheads" in their lives and tell them to vote for Barack Obama, Politico reported Monday.
"Talk to everyone you know -- your friends, your neighbors, that cousin you haven't seen in a while, that student sitting next to you in class. You know he's kind of a knucklehead," she said. "You know the one."
"Tap him on the shoulder. Be nice. Don't call him a knucklehead. Not to his face. You just want to encourage him to get to the polls," she added.

While appearing on the Tom Joyner morning radio program recently, First Lady Michelle Obama called undecided voters "confused" and "knuckleheads," according to a video posted at Breitbart.com on Friday.
"All of us know that one person in our lives, right, that one knucklehead nephew that's not registered to vote," she said, adding to the list "that one neighbor that's not really paying attention, or that one person in your office that's confused about how Barack's tax plan will benefit, um, that individual..."

As Nugent was reaching out to his.
Unfortunately, there are too many people in this country who think like him.

It is time to accept reality, one half of the country does not want to be socialist. There will be deep seated hatred because the middle class are being forced to pay for socialist ideals. Do not be so stupid to think that resentment toward socialist ideals will not grow.

Nugent was told that he was intelligent for a rocker...and it went to his head.
Personally...I like him much better when he doesn't resort to cosmetic epithets.

I guess it depends on your point of view. Subhuman mongrel is way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way, more polite than the list of words I would use to describe BO.

We say that the majority of the citizens are "idiots", and that "common sense" is becoming less and less "common"...but then we sing praises to "democracy" as a system of government.
Does that make any sense?

What we say or think means absolutely nothing. Closer to the truth is one of the main weakness people have is that they think that they are always smarter than the next guy, it does not matter who you are. As a result it is easy to play many as complete fools when in fact they are not. Our system of government is representative, to the republic for which it stands. You can go to your grave thinking it is different than it is, but remember the pendulum will swing the other way.

Well...we must remember that politicians cannot be fully trusted in matters such as this. Churchill's observation wasn't exactly unbiased.
The truth is that the effectiveness of a democracy depends on the "enlightenment" of the citizens who participate in it.
Democracy was born during Greece's "Golden Age". It didn"t work out so well during Greece's "darker age"...

Free speech.
Move along.
You find calling him that disgusting?
I find his entire presidency disgusting.
No one was hurt by the comments.
Millions have been hurt by the idiot's policies.

knuckle head:
Someone who has just made a mistake or done something wrong. Often used in a joking manner between friends.
"After arriving at the ski resort Pat discovered that he had forgot his skis to which his friends responded "Pat, you're a knuckle head!".
