No doubt but I wonder if he can sustain it into the future.Very tall players have a problem as they have a large strike zone and a long swing which is easy for pitchers to exploit.I read somewhere that 6'1"-6'3" is the ideal height for a power hitter as they are tall enough to have the extra muscle mass to hit the ball hard but avoid the problems mentioned above. There have been some tall power guys like Dave Winfield, Dave Kingman and Frank Howard but they are few and far between. And most of them hit for a low average and strike out a ton.Maybe Judge will be the exception.
That being said, the kid's a lot of fun to watch. And as a Red Sox fan, it pained me terribly to type that sentence.

Winfield hit over .300 four times and in the .290's twice. Lifetime .283 average with low strikeouts for a big man. He may have been the best base runner I've ever seen for a big man. I saw him tag up on a fly ball to center field and score from 2nd base when he was 40 years old. I believe it was either George Steinbrenner or Billy Martin who gave him the nickname of Mr. April.

It was George Stinbrenner and it was "Mr. May"

I agree real tall hitters generally have a problem with long swings. Judge seems to be an exception. His swing is actually quite short. He has so much power, he doesn't have to swing from his heels to hit the ball out of the park.

Judge is a different animal.
He's as strong or stronger than Frank Thomas, and he moves like a Darryl Strawberry or a Dave Winfield, so he's able to play in the outfield.
As a 6'9" first baseman, the only thing I happened to be able to do at a high level, was hit.
I don't buy the whole, "bigger swing mechanics = too much strike-zone, and/or not enough reaction time" theory.
very tall baseball players = small sample
very tall baseball players, with competence at hitting = smaller yet
very tall baseball players with competence at hitting, who haven't committed to basketball for college education/hoop dreams = even smaller
very tall baseball players with competence at hitting, who haven't committed to basketball for college education/hoop dreams, AND haven't been herded over to the pitcher's mound = tiny sample
