46zilzal should agree with this.
He knows all about the wonders of the human body and how amazing it is in defending itself assuming a working immune system.

I grew up with a marine crops air station right next door....I saw multiple NEGTIVE examples of their in town antics starting in the first grade where the masses used to frequent, and get very rowdy and a bar next door to the movie theater I attended all the time.
Two on my best friend's dads were JUST the opposite: one a captain in the Marines and the other a chief petty officer in the Navy. They took me to several bases over the years...Wonderful men.
Maybe if I had been around more exemplary men and fewer CLOWNS and so many of my other friends were simply used as PAWNS (7 in my high school class for example) those direct experiences might have been more positive.
My father, and expert on the US Cavalry, would interact with many active duty officers who came to the house where I had to put up with their not so subtle suggestions to m father as why I wasn't risking my life FOR NOTHING

The trend is still pretty good, except in NY where it's not improving much at all. Maybe the new more contagious variant is making it's way around NY before spreading out elsewhere.

In later years they set up a landing practice area not three blocks from the house for helicopters...Had a bad accident there my first year of college.
