Thanks.
I'm more interested in detailed ground loss data to help with trip and bias notes while I'm watching replays. There'a a lot of interesting data in those charts I'll have to take a look at eventually, but I don't see detailed ground loss. Maybe I just haven't figured it out yet.

Ground loss used to be part of the charts but it went away after many people noticed the Apple Blossom errors.

Is it? I preferred Trakus and like CJ said, it seemed to be pretty accurate after the first quarter. The adjustments for a bad opening quarter were a slight inconvenience but manageable.

I vaguely remembered having a conversation with you about these charts after you started a thread on them. I could have sworn ground loss was in there, but at this age I thought I may have been imagining things.

Del mar is really confusing right now. The fractions in the charts and the gps fractions are usually different but the final times are exactly the same. That's weird?

Does SA still have Trakus?
I was finding here http://tnetwork.trakus.com/tnet/t_SantaAnita.aspx
through November, but nothing was posted for yesterday.

Looks like GP stopped with Trakus data around the time the SA meet closed in the fall, so I wonder if Stronach cut ties with them then.
From what I can tell pretty much NYRA, Churchill & Keeneland are the only places still using their data.
Their "partner racecourses" tab is pitiful ( https://trakus.com/partner-racecourses/), almost every link no longer works.

Personally, I think it's a huge step backwards for the industry to not have that data available. I would pay a small fee for it. Trakus is not perfect on ground loss, but it's useful to skim the data quickly to see where the top 3 finishers and beaten favorites raced (inside/wide) and then helpful again to get the paths when you don't have a head on or good angles from the replays. It saves me a ton of time in bias determination and trips when it's available. The idea should have been to improve the technology, but no one cares about the gamblers.

Unfortunately, Trakus is gone after the end of the year.

That is unfortunate,
The last quarter no matter the distance for NYRA turf races is invaluable.

It's unfortunate. I will try to push the new system to duplicate those kinds of features. Hopefully, and maybe I'm being too optimistic, we will eventually look back and say Trakus innovated for all the systems that came after it.

You probably ARE being optimistic, but at least you understand why it was useful to gamblers and will try. That's not true everywhere and is appreciated.
I'm sure some of the figure makers aren't happy about this either. It's easier to identify potentially bad times if the track has both a traditional timing system and Trakus. If both systems agree on a suspect time, no problem. Maybe the track changed speeds or there was wind. If they disagree, clock it yourself.

Unfortunately I feel that Trakus would have been more successful as an industry standard, but never got to that level and therefore died.
