Just some random thoughts for next year as result of the cov'd 19 mess....
1st...Going to be a baby boom

3rd..lawyers in general are going to VERY busy with lawsuits...many legit..many frivolous...am sure local, state, and even national government will legislating to prevent government for being sued for some their stupidity over this....
4th..The insurance companies are going to need their OWN bail-out...in several fields am sure...Medical field as well...
5th..going to be a surge..(already is) in home grown veggies and fruiting plants
6th..gas prices will be higher...hell everything should start to up...
there's many more of course....feel free to express a few....that way you can say I told ya so!

Dow will be below 20k by end of 2021. There will be a couple strong rallies between now and then. And they all will ultimately fail.

Florida Derby Day 2021 --
Two horses on my watchlist will win on the same day. The first at 40-1. The other at 29-1. Together they will trigger a massive pick5 payoff for a sequence I won't get to play. I won't know about it until almost a week later because I was sequestered in a tiny room without windows for eleven days while ten of us tried in vain to convince the final two holdout members of the jury to vote to convict.

Casinos will remain closed throughout the year.
All sporting events will be in front of empty seats.
All learning institutions will remain closed, and teaching will be conducted online...with no tuition reduction passed on to the parents of the students.
Online poker will be legalized nationwide.
New car sales will decline by 50%.
Air travel will decline by 50%.
Home robberies will see a 400% increase...more in the "affluent" areas.
Gun sales will increase twofold.
Home foreclosures will skyrocket...as will personal and business bankruptcies.
A revolution will take place on July 4th...causing President Biden to abandon the White House under cover of darkness. (Sorry )

Now, that is really far fetched.
What about all those flaming torches lighting up the night sky?

There will be a huge paradigm shift in the number of people who continue to work from home. This will continue somewhat with businesses getting back to normal or whatever that looks like. Businesses will use this paradigm shift to cut fixed and variable overhead costs as well. Less office/work space required. Some work from home folks might not be paid 40 hrs, or even maintain full company benefits. Many will be classified as independent contractors in some cases.
The same shift will be instituted in public schooling and colleges/universities, although that being a more liberal bastion, there will be more resistance than with businesses. More classes or even whole days will be from taught from home, by online teachers/or self-taught classes. But it will take longer to accomplish. Teachers unions will fight this one to the death.
I think horse racing will finally consolidate to some extent, or set fewer actual racing days at 2nd tier tracks.
Bricks and mortar business will continue to shrink, half of our malls will be sitting empty. The online businesses that are already flourishing will be growing exponentially.
There will be a new/different govt. health insurance plan, although it won't be medicare for all, but some modification of the ACA.
More restaurants(that survive) will become take-out only, or delivery only.
Manufacturing will NOT be returning in a big way by the end of 2021 even though it's been promised. It may to very minor extent.

Since everyone is being a Negative Norton (or Nortonette), I will invoke the old saw that when everybody goes to the same side of the boat, it usually sinks.Instead, I will be Carlos Contrarian and say that things will be difficult but the worse thing that each person has brought up will undoubtedly NOT happen (mainly because it never does).
