Pocono 2/20

Will be posting some later, but can't pass up a track not too far away from me, Pocono Downs

Race 1-

1- Horsing Around- Adamczyk barn has been colder than normal, but draws rail with GNap in the bike. Rail trip against NW12000L5 company last out on the ship in. Won here in 1:51 last year. Was empty last out, but has a shot.

2- Cinnamack- 1st off the claim from a warming up Auciello barn. Not much against lower level NW groups prior to that. Looks like Robinson will need a few weeks to figure out how to fix this one.

3- Rangers Sureshot- 1st off the claim for Taneyhill where he went off at 8/5 and came up empty. Can't see this barn improving from Kesmodel, but does have some back class and a nice mark at Philly last year. Maybe Morrill can get him going again

4- Grand Teton- Has made moves but doesn't have much fight. Last win came at Rosecroft last November. Huge back class. One that could absolutely surprise at a price

5- Apex Seelster- Closer for Blumenfeld. Draws a good post for a late kick, but not enough pace to track down here in my opinion. One to tab for underneath for exotics.

6- Shane Adam- Ships in from Miami Valley on barn change to Burke. Howard Taylor usually sends out some good ones for these series races. Raced some of the better ones at Miami Valley, and with the barn change, worth a look at the tote board!

7- Mariner Seelster- Barn change from Ford to Di Domenico off the claim. Won open a few times at Monti, but that is a step below this group.

8- Barbados- 1st off claim for Pirillo. Draws poor post and isn't as classy as this bunch. Can't see him hitting the ticket

Selections- 4-1-6-3

4 Grand Teton- Favorite last out was driven aggressively to try to brush before the 1/2. When GNap attempted to urge, it looked like he clipped his heels and became rough gaited for a moment. This stopped all progress and was kept parked the rest of the mile. I like that Bier takes the drive as he knows this classy 6 year old, who has made over a half a million. Expect much better today!

1 Horsing Around gets the job done on the front end. Grand Teton made a nice move but couldn't sustain it.

Race 3

7 Busboy Hanover- 1st off claim for GGH and GNap in the bike is a HUGE upgrade from Marcus Miller. Many will be leaving here but this one should get a nice jump. Only big closer is 2 Best Trick Ever and that one doesn't like to go by.

Race 4-

4 Just N Ace- Maier has already won one today and that one looked READY! Riding the hot hand. ANap in the bike off being parked the mile at 5-1. Nice 1:51.1 mark last year and some decent back class to boot. Likes to come from off the pace, but the fact LeBlanc sent off the car last time shows this one was fit.
