This is the correct ruling.
It was sloppy legislating.

It wasn’t legislation. It was an edict

Easy Ralph...
Everyone loves Executive Orders when it's their guy doing them.
It was sloppy and unsurprisingly was shot down.

They essentially are in this day in age.
We've had many debates on here over them and have seen several Trump EOs in SCOTUS.
You guys list them as "accomplishments" when you like them so how else should we treat them?

I like Robert’s he’s a real judge and a real Conservative. He actually most times voted his conscience and the Constitution even though I disagree with his call on this case. A really good judge doesn’t give a shit about the politicians. They are a check out from this nonsense. But he’s wrong on this one. If people can risk going to Wally World and Gin mills or liquor stores...... they should be able to go to church. And I don’t like organized religion but it’s a right. No denying that.
Both sides can’t manage a cognitive plan on this thing . Coumo is a tyrant with these restrictions but he’s right about the mask. NY is like 3 percent positive rate. Some of his rules are actually good. But this shutting shit down and killing businesses is almost as bad as the Covid. He’s a do gooder, power hungry Liberal. On the other side they want businesses open but the not using the protection is counter intuitive. My sister couldn’t come for the holiday from Nebraska. There are too many sick people there.
He’s wrong on this decision. But the guy that uses some logic and sticks to his principles. Which drives both of these radical sides crazy. Is most likely the brightest and best judge. We actually need more like him. That guy is not compromised. He is a check and balance . Even when you don’t agree with him. That’s a real judge right there. IMO he’s the smartest guy in there.

everything seems to turn to politics everywhere now... i happen to like the new Judge, she seems perfect for the job.. and i am very hopeful that Biden does a great job, and i have the feeling he will even though it will be a very tough job this time around..

Roberts may be Chief Justice but he's only one of nine and I suspect the conservative wing is now flexing its muscle going forward and leaving him off to the side. Gorsuch was barely subtle in his rebuke of Roberts' position. Tells me that Roberts is losing sway on the court when his past words are being openly mocked by other justices.
In the past, Roberts has openly stated that he doesn't want the court to be political, but by not protecting the Constitution, he is politically siding with those that would undermine the very document he has sworn to protect. He is weak and ineffective.
