Ed....just stick to two tracks ---I recommend Thistledown since I play it---and LAD....because Green80 plays it and has some info sometimes. I'm not doing well overall at Belmont---but I can't let Randall beat me---it's just the principle.

Anyway that is the reason I don't have much time for TDN at the moment, but as soon as Randall resigns in utter despair--I'll have more time to play TDN. Then we can make some money$$$$

In the meanwhile find just a couple tracks you like to play, Ed. Study them---E-1, Speed, 123 method, etc.

Here's a play that find easy winners--no one seems to use them--most people want a magic box that's going to tell them who to bet.
This is how I used to handicap--every day, with just the pace and speed figs, etc....and I did okay.

At TDN....forget the spot plays for now---just click LATE....right away ALDEZARA jumps at you--and TRIBAL CUSTOM.....because they're top LATE in their field....and led the first call.

TRIBAL CUSTOM looks totally dominant---except one small problem--he's been off for 7 months. It's rare for horse of this level to be off and come right back in racing shape. That horse went off @ 8/5 favorite--a waste of money for anyone that bet that horse to win.

But look at ALDEZARA....led 1st call..and is 6-1 ML.

This is just one method--I've showed it many times. Click E-2 and see who has high 1st and 2nd call figs. You would have found SAMBUCCA STEVE...AND the horse you nailed TALENT MAN.

Click E-1....remember Tribal Custom is out of the picture...and see who may be a standout.

You don't even need those spot plays to find winners---at the lower level tracks, anyway--NCG

1-2-3 had Salute to Dixie $58.00 in the 3rd at EVD tonight.

GP had 6 winners on the 123 method. Also, 2 others from the E2 and Late that I use. The E2 paid $35 and the late paid $10.60. The only race it did not have was my best bet from the form and got lucky when the favorite broke bad. Good day I would say. Happy I quit playing exotics, because didn't see if I had them or not.

Reason #2 why I hate horse racing: BELLE OF THE SPA

I looked at this 2nd-time starter with interest almost immediately. Her 1st race was obviously a training run--judging by the 11 length loss---then 2 length gain after the issue was long decided.

Jock, distance, surface switch--does show a fast 5f work, among many well-spaced works leading up to this day. This is exactly the 2nd time starter to look for--EXCEPT take a look at Trainer Bruce Brown's "1ST ON GRASS" record: ZERO FOR 52...with a sparkling 10% ITM.

You know what that says? IT SAYS HE DOESN'T "TRY" 1ST ON GRASS. Doesn't even hit the board. It says BELLE OF THE SPA was gonna have another jog today--probably with a burst of speed somewhere internally.

Then come back in 3 weeks --showing a 3F blowout 3 or 4 days before---and make a serious win effort THAT DAY...only sharp bettors would even notice.

F*** me.

Lets hope for longshots at Belmont tomorrow. 123 method has 4 horses at 8-1 or higher.
