Squeezed at the break and rode three wide the whole race, that'll seal her fate to fourth alright.
That Lezcano spill didn't look horrible, hope he's O.K.

Race 2
3-2 odds on Weaver here!?
Joe Sharp is winless at the meet but this looks interesting at 11-1.
Rails are at 18ft and she has speed for the stretch out
Small play...

Apparently outside post no problem for and stamina not a big deal either, just put it out of reach. The made a big late run but I didn't make the place bet and only had on top for the saver. Damn favorites running well.

R7:
Bad breed maidens on turf going long, I love it. Somehow I found myself liking both Gyarmati runners the most. In the end, this looks like a race that if you can turn for home with the lead, you might wind up being awfully tough to get past. I have to believe that Marah will take advantage of the outside draw and a plate of sprints leading into this route and try to be the thief with Uncle Chester. 7-2 isn't too enticing but have to hope a few of the other name brand fellas suck in some money and get this one to 5-1.

Race 7
We have an 8yr old maiden running in this race ...the , 0-33
Wasn't there a rule that once a runner turned five and was still a maiden it couldn't run at NYRA tracks ?
Guess I'm wrong...
Can the get a piece at a good price? Connections are cold but I could se him hanging around. I hate the here, so...

I don't see anything in the 7th race
uncle chester is a big underlay at 7/2 , but 7/2 is not exactly a big false favorite.
has a good trainer, and has a shot to move-up , but is only about 7/2
figures to be on or near the pace after the layoff for pletch, but his odds are similarly low in the 7/2-6-1 range
is the type that loves to round out a tri or super, but there isn't anything to put on top of him
pass

The Saratoga show really is a treat. Eight times out of ten on every other show when you get a trainer interview, you get the same old sterile fella worried about saying the wrong thing. Well, okay California gets Peter Miller. But, there have been some great little interviews lately. The one with Hennig today was refreshing and makes you yearn to hear more from the guy. The other day Barclay Tagg was having none of being baited with the notion of 'time off at the farm' being a positive, necessary thing - he's tired of hearing about letting them just be horses when they've never been allowed to just be horses their entire lives. Just some great stuff to pass the time between races.
