lunch time

[now that the Achnaha is no longer favored, the 3rd race is a bad betting race.

I don't have anything good for race 4

race 5 is a bad betting race with another short field on the dirt.

race 6 is a guessing game for 2yos. Could be worth betting.

race 7 is another bad betting race with another short field on the dirt.]

may play a late daily double?
[race 8 combines the magic of a complete field of horses with horses that have bettable form. I'll invest some time into race 8 to see if I have an opinion.

race 9 is a NY-bred turf maiden, but it is a MSW with a full field. I'll invest some time into race 9 to see if I have an opinion.]

Yeah, seemed likely enough and a long way back to the third choice odds at 7/1, but not like you want to bet them 1-2 from the tote. Although a chalk box + paid 5/1.

In hindsight there weren't really any promising closers to threaten the speed, but the best-ish of them got third.

At least my didn't do any running to get my hopes up.

The odds need to go somewhere with the scratches, but the ,, seem live, and the , don't.

Let's see if Santana can get the in. Only three races against tougher. The looks tough, but no standout trainer pattern, and not 3/5. The looks interesting but you can't bet them all.

Kendrick Carmouche, who rides a lot for Danny Gargan and Midwest didn't seem too interested on pressing the Gargan/Midwest runner there. Odd....

When the closers were only 3 to 4 lengths off the pace, I just threw my win ticket away and hoped for second.

Kinda surprised to see Unbridled Charge still stuck at 15-1 with a few minutes to post. Sure the debut wasn't great, but it isn't hard to believe that there's more under the hood and we just may not have seen it that first trip. Figred this race was probably a pass, but I'm always good for inflating the price slightly on a Chad Brown winner.

my three ran the six in about 1:33.23. I was getting ready to yell at the jock and I still might, but this sucker never looked good and initially assumed he must have displaced or started gushing blood and that was the least we'd see. But, he did finish. It was just at a trot about 124 behind the winner.

race 8

Decorator Jenn wins if she fires.

5,7 are dressed-up.

is interesting as a long shot. She ran big last time and has a puncher's chance today at a juicy price.

I need an 8,7 or 6

may hedge a bit with the 5 and maybe play a saver with 9

table scraps instead of a feast.

Pace never really developed, My was in no-man's land, tracking a resilient pace on the outside, instead of stalking a late-fading pace from the pocket.

had a chance at a fair price, but I thought the 6 would contest, and I didn't like that the 7's big effort was with the stretch-out last time.
7 ran legitimately well, but I will still take a shot against if he is entered in a hot sprint.

R9 It looks to me like Paco Lopez has an actual mount (from a horse physicality standpoint.)

I'm interested to see if he can get this one #7 to hit the board.
