Winner of the 2002 and 2003 BC Turf , High Chapparal was euthanized
during colic surgery .
The European champion as many will remember , made for a very exciting
BC finish in a dead heat with Johar in 2003 .

Tough year for stallions . RIP World Champion !

Could not edit , the correct spelling is Chaparral ! Hope admins can help !

It was also brought to my attention that Johar died of a paddock injury
sustained a month ago !

Hard to believe we lost both great ones so close in time , both at age
15 . Still young !
The two who together made for an exciting BC Turf as ever there was !

Tough year !

Wow, what a life! Got lucky to see and pet him about six weeks ago. Was eating his daily mash and still had plenty of spunk.

Old Friends is truly worth a visit anytime you are in the area. Bring some treats. Game on Dude loves Jolly Ranchers

Losing Ogygian is a real bummer. He was one of my favorite horses when I was just getting into the game seriously. He had a ton of talent. I wish I had made it to Old Friends in time to see him.
