The excerpted portion was simply pointing out to Goren just how "obvious, in-your-face, and brazen" this person is. It's no mystery or theory or "did you hear about the guy..." scenario. Admittedly, I generally suck at Mountaineer and always have, so I'm basically able to just ignore that it happens for the most part by not playing or even watching. But, yeah, I got sucked in here by a couple of posts.
When 40k goes on a horse in a 60k pool as the gates open, it doesn't get anymore brazen and in your face than that. It also make the tote board as irrelevant any canceled wager.

So far, no one has taken me up on request for proof.

You know, I must be really unlucky. I see all sorts of strange things going on in the pools everywhere and no one talks about it.

This thing , that has seems to have everyone riled up , I hardly ever see.

now I admit, I dont look at all 9 from MNR, but still....

The scenario you describe is a little too vague to do much math, but making a win bet in an amount twice the size of the entire pool on a single horse seems likely to warrant a whole other batch of adjectives. How many times have you witnessed that happen?

For illustrative purposes only to emphasize the OP's point.

When you find technology that will tell you how much is in the pools at each mtp, let me know, and I'll prove it to you. Until that exists, someone is going to have to take screenshots of pool totals for you, and that, is a pain in the ass.

I am not going say a lot, but maybe 5 or 6 times over the years. I used to have the pools on screen, but I finally gave it up because I could not find much of an advantage in it. I was looking for show bets at the time ala something I read in old book whose name and author escapes me at this moment.

I don't have to find it.

I've used it for 10 years.

That's why I'd like to see some proof of this in writing.

Try running a screen capture program, this way it doesnt have to be manually grabbed.

Could this be him?

It has been shown here before, but I'm too lazy to search. It happens. Whether you believe it is up to you.

I recall some feeble example.

For something that is bothering folks like this and is said to happen with some frequency, it sure is hard to find evidence.

Not if you play there every night. You see it with your own eyes. Seriously, why would I sit around and make screen shots, then upload them to this site, to appease others that want proof? Even the guy that works at the track hasn't denied this is going on.

Good for him. I wish we could get the same honesty from other people post here who for race tracks.

Yes although my money doesnt touch Mnr pools I have a lot of respect for moutainman coming on here and admitting he don't like it.....

Just out of curiosity if I was a hardcore poker player and I was being accoused on the poker equivilant to this site I wouldn't like it......and would get run off the table....

This guy gotta go or Mnr should institute a NO cancellation policy period...for a week and see if this happens still
