The Mets always tough, prob a sick pace in here as usual.

Big $ showed for the 1/2 in the doubles

Fairly typical dirt standards. Good to have some early position but not a huge speed bias.

Man that Cross Traffic is a tough speed horse, two big speed tries where he did all the dirty work in a row only to get nipped, what a game horse. I thought for sure that I had the exacta hit with Mark Valeski and Sahara Sky but Valeski had no excuse and Cross Traffic fought gallantly. I would imagine that Pletcher will rest Cross Traffic until Saratoga.

I am using Sahara Sky as my top choice with a little Mark Valeski thrown in.
Never been a fan of MV but he's right there every time and has a decent middle move that may play well vs today's set up.
Sahara Sky will need some pace help, but this is the Met Mile, and the pace is always fast....wonder if he can sustain that rally for another furlong. Although he looks like a deep closer, he actually has pace figs that put him close enough after a 1/2m.
Tossing Cross Traffic completely today...too much too soon for him. If he hangs in there vs Gr1 foes at underlaid odds then more power to him and I lose my money.
Don't know what i'm going to do with Discreet Dancer, but as of now he's on the ticket:

ex: 3-7 w 2-3-6-7
ex: 6 w 3-7
win: 7
Good pick.

Cross Traffic seemed to be against the grain, two chalk types from post 1 in the previous elongated routes just never could pick up their feet from there. He was 'sent' and was incredible in defeat.
