Shared Belief will train at Los Al?

I read on the Breeders Cup website that Shared Belief will be training at Los Al leading up to the Breeders Cup Classic.

Seeing as the horse has vanned down from Northern California his last three and won them all, this seems like a questionable move. Especially since they could leave him at Santa Anita to train if they really wanted to let him train on dirt.

Has anyone heard the same?

Maybe we will have to wait for a workout to actually see where he is.

I would imagine he will be training at the track where Jerry is spending most of his time this October. If that's los al, maybe that's where he will be. If you trained this horse, you want to be around him more days than not.

If I trained this horse I'd pick where I think he should be training and then spend most my time there.

Assuming the dirt at Santa Anita now is different enough than what they had previously I'd train him there. I can say it looks way different. The top of this new stuff looks like powder.

I think if you were a small potatoes trainer than yeah, you tailor your schedule to the horse but if you're the king, the horse goes where you go.

Shared Belief, BC Classic favorite, back at GGF. Will train there until week of Classic, when he returns to SA, per Hollendorfer.

Considering the horse is 7 for 7 training over HP/GG, It wouldn't matter to me if the trainer was the son of god himself, I wouldn't send him to Los Al. Hell at this point with the feet problems he's had I wouldn't train him over dirt at all.

If you want to monkey around with the training formula fine.......... start the new program November 2.

The king or not, he should be trying to do all he can to win a $5,000,000 race.

No doubt, i agree, i wouldnt be fixing something that wasn't broken with a horse like this....but, the horse is undefeated with the King, no way the owners are ever going to make suggestions or second guess anything that guy does.

He knows the horse better than us obviously, and the horse has done nothing wrong yet, so i'm not going to question him. (but of course, will be betting against him at 3-5 on BC day!)

Maybe not 3/5. Chrome and Tonalist both have a lot of support.

Just some info to consider. Santa Anita surface is same one Los Alamitos had put down first. Horses who raced(as well as trained) well at Los Al seemed to do well opening week at SA.

Yeah 3/5 isn't happening with Chrome and Tonalist in the field.

I don't like the idea of betting against favorites if they have a great chance to win either, and the Pacific Classic and Awesome Again both helped convinced me Shared Belief has a great chance.

If you're thinking he should be 12-1 or higher, I think he'll end up going off at 6/5 or 1/1, he's currently 3/2 with Ladbrokes. Then you'll get good value on every other horse in the field.
