This is absolutely sick.
But cheered on by idiots like HCAP and the now self-banished FANDAN and even guys like DILANESP....among a host of others I won't bother naming.
People who ALL THINK they KNOW BETTER...who say LISTEN TO THE SCIENCE...
But when SOME SCIENCE disagrees with what they think, they'll cheer on the MUZZLING of such dissent...they'll call it "DANGEROUS" or "CRAZY"
They know better.
Listen, I'm sorry some of us have been touched personally by this virus. Some of us have even lost loved ones or close friends or colleagues.
Nobody ever claimed this virus was harmless (despite that Hcap wrongly accuses certain members here of doing just that...but he's nuts).
People will die from this disease...especially those in the vulnerable group and especially those living in the hardest hit areas (like NYC metro area).
But that doesn't automatically make COVID-19 WILDLY DEADLIER than the flu. It seems like each and every day, SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE comes to light that pushes the fatality rate LOWER and ever close to that now dreaded three letter word...FLU...I can't remember the last time the CFR was pushed higher...but they don't want to listen to these facts.
They want to keep pushing this myth that COVID-19 is the worst disease to ever hit mankind....ever...and that is simply not the case.
But we, as a society, have ACTED like this is the worst disease to hit mankind...ever....why?
Why is this happening? The loudest people on this forum can't answer that question, because they are clueless...they are enamored with the new COVID-19 religion. They buy into all the BS. All of it.
Anyone who dissents is automatically WRONG and they must be CENSORED.
Nice country we're living in now, right?

Many seem to think the economic bounce back will be easy but I don't think so...
https://www.creators.com/read/michel...-meat-shortage
With meat prices rising, the economic landscape looks bleak. While gas is less than $2 a gallon, much of the nation is still locked down and off the streets, out of the cars and in no hurry to get on planes or trains. The latest Consumer Price Index summary reveals rising rent prices and costs of medical care services on top of spiking meat prices. With nearly 26 million Americans now out of work, signs of impending stagflation loom. That "V-shaped recovery" is more like a "P.D." recovery: Pipe Dream.

It’s more contagious than the flu.
That’s a given.
What is your guess for people in the United States who have had or have a case and recovered of CoVID-19?

V is impossible. You won’t get back to 4th quarter gdp 2019 until 2021, if then.
This a lost year.

I've read in several placed that about 65-70% of those who tested positive have recovered. So we have about 300,000 positives in the USA. That's 1 in 10,000 people. So in a restaurant that seats 100, there is a 1% chance that someone in there might be positive enough to get sick. Of course, 10 times that have been exposed, so who really knows.

recovery stuff is tough to know
you have the stats from the official cases (a decent-sized chunk of which was only ever tested/confirmed due to the severity)...,
very reasonable to assume that there are a significant number of healthy people who had covid-19 and a mild enough experience that it was never documented. Depending on whether that is factored into 'recovered' considerations, it could change the percentage significantly.
It's not easy to compare to something like the 'flu' and give it a general label
varies wildly
healthy+strong immune system+great doctors? = most will fall somewhere between common cold<---->pneumonia
unhealthy+weak immune system+incompetent doctors? = most will fall somewhere between flu <---->slow death w/ pneumonia

didn't watch the vid , but on 'censorship'
everyone semi-lucid knows that China 'censors' info on Covid (&on everything)
most US citizens either don't know or don't feel comfortable stating that the US uses a combo of demonetizing and censorship.
The 'demonetizing' (soft-censorship) part knocks out the vast majority of any subversive info that could reach a significant social-media audience, and does so without a need for almost ever using 'Chinese' hard-censorship.

My guess would be in line with estimates published by researchers from Stanford University based on serology antibody testing.
As of the first week in April 2020 they estimated the actual number of infections among the general population in Santa Clara County, California was likely 50 to 85 times the number of official reported cases.
Not nearly high enough to establish herd immunity.
But high enough to reasonably conclude the actual death rate from the virus is orders of magnitude lower than the number you get by dividing the number of official reported deaths by the number of official reported cases at the COVID-19 Dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) Johns Hopkins University site - here:
https://gisanddata.maps.arcgis.com/a...23467b48e9ecf6
Taking that a step further --
Right now as I type this the official case count at the Johns Hopkins University site is just over 1M cases in the US.
If I had to hazard a guess, using the Stanford numbers as a baseline - I would say the real number of infections to date in the US is at least 50M.

discussion in this thread is not even about the Virus...its the media, big tech, etc and the waging war to take way the rights in the constitution.
This has been going on a while, some of us have recognized it, others I guess are just too busy.
Voltaire once said "to learn who rules over you simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize".
We moving closer and closer to a communist state that we are indeed not allowed to question or criticize or we will face at first censorship, down the road might be imprisonment, after that......

If, as the Stanford study suggests, the infection rate is that high, how did this transmit to so many people? I think there was a article on this forum that could explain this. Scientists in Italy discovered Covid-19 was able to attach to a particle of air pollution. It is almost a certainty that this virus came from a lab in China.
Is this virus being transmitted through the air?
Makes sense, considering the lockdown response.

The fact remains YouTube (Google) removed the video although it was based on scientific data. This wasn't some random opinion, its real. There must exist thousands of videos packed with lies the left has posted based on hate and bruised egos. Why are these allowed?????
Shades of communism in its purest form. Argue all you want, but it is what it is and can't be challenged in any other way. Just like keeping Americans locked up and unemployed. All an expression of power and control...plain & simple.

Opinion the left agrees with, video not only stays up but often pushed to people
Opinion the left disagrees with, video taken down, and often times the poster banned from the platform.
Its very easy to label something you disagree with as misinformation. Its scary shit if you ask me.

Research has shown the virus can remain viable in droplets too small to be seen by the naked eye swishing around in the air (indoors) for up to 3 hours.
Very few people are truly isolated from the rest of the world 24/7.
A lot of people live with others under the same roof.
What if scenario --
Someone in your household makes a trip to the grocery store and does everything right. She wipes down the handle of the shopping cart with hand sanitizer. She wears a mask she bought on Etsy and she's really careful not to touch her face. And she's careful to give others in the store at least 6 ft of space.
While walking down an aisle she unknowingly walks through air where not 15 seconds earlier someone who is contagious happened to clear their throat before coughing lightly or exhaling.
The person from your household inhales at exactly the wrong time and becomes infected herself.
A week later four members of your household have become infected - even though everybody under your roof has been self isolating/social distancing.
It happens.
Lockdowns may slow the rate that it happens. But they are not going to STOP it from happening.
