I was just settling in finally with a race on the card that looked playable once I got to four and had to really work hard not to oversell myself on this one. But, because I figured if I went here then the other one would win and I hate the inside draw and since you had him anyhow, I'll take a stab at beating the Florida steam and the Chad Brown auto-play as well with something that should be a nice price.

Townie debuts for a barn that is bad with turf debuters and bad with debut starters in general. And features a rider that has earned the Einstein or Frankenstein label from me. And his draw isn't exactly ideal. But, I like the nature of the works. Most of the recent main track works seem pretty snazzy and the couple of turf works look like they got a chance to see if he handles it or not. I don't think this is even remotely the sort of horse you want to go to battle with alone in a pick three or four or something, but I'm inclined to think that he's double-digits here and there isn't a standout in the field on paper. This isn't a race that a mediocre FTS can win, but an above average one just might.

Race 3:

This is purely a magic money pick because I talked myself off the race once, but given the fact that he's been at about half his 20-1 morning line throughout, I've got to throw in with Non Stop. Basically, his back races at the distance and over the surface are just about as much as you can hope for in a spot like this. His current form isn't great, but it isn't exactly awful and if you are looking for a top effort back at Belmont at seven furlongs, there's a price that he gets pretty attractive. 20-1 seemed pretty high, so maybe the 10-1 is about right, and somewhere in the middle is where he's worth the money.

Plus I saw the regulars all had different picks and wanted to make it more fun.

Nice pickin with You Know I Know and you know I know I'm not surprised to see River Date in the 5th at 5-2 off a 6-1 morning line and my hope that he'd wind up closer to 8-1. Oh well. Definitely can't play him at under 9-2 and shouldn't play him at under, but I'm not square yet with Belmont so I'll take a stand either way and give myself something to critique.
