ACADIA FLEET in the 8th @ Presque shows a fairly well-known spot play/trainer maneuver. This horse has good early speed and you would think she would show more than 1 single career win. Here she is now, vanned across the country to Presque Isle, which like GGX has a poly track.
The spot play concerns itself with horses that show good early speed--then immediately stretches out next race -starts slowly but kicks it in gear to show excellent late speed. Now today, is right back in a week, shortening up and dropping down. Today marks her 3rd race in 3 weeks. She seems wound up and ready to fire.
ACADIA FLEET has one drawback...her trainer. He shows 3 wins in the past couple years--doesn't instill much confidence. It seems obvious her connections are setting this horse up to score--only question is can they get the job done? If the horse completely tanks today-she may be worth a follow-up wager (since it's impossible to know EXACTLY what this trainer is up to today)
Good luck,
-NCG

Hey Greg:
Continued excellence with the "Big Purple" (Best 5) at Canterbury Park (09-02). Last night, I was out and about and decided to play a late P3 or P4 at Canterbury. Unfortunately for me, I started just in in time for the Late P3. If you played a 3x3x3 for $13.50 you won $35 and change. Hey, it's a win!! I will take it. I wish I would have gotten in earlier. Best 5 had the Winner in 8 of 9 races only missing the 2nd. The late P4 paid $392 and change and the Late P5 for .50c paid $1,388.00. One third selection, (3) Top Winners and 1 second selection in that P5 sequence. A few chalks and a couple nice prices of $10.60 and $17.60 in the rotation. Very Nice!!

Way to go big Vinnie...you are the undisputed, undefeated king of Best-Five
I played Horse Tourneys today...finished 3rd for a whopping $12, or so- prize money. Getting my @$$ handed to me on the EMD Pick/Pray going on as we speak.
After checking for Top-2 Power at other tracks--I found one at Parx, I think. It didn't win.
Golden Gate had 4...with BABE DIDRIKSEN a $24.40 winner
.
You are certainly able to play which ever way you like--at the tracks you care to play--go for it.
I've been playing this TOP-2 PLATINUM 10-1 method for quite awhile...and have a general idea of the tracks this method is effective at. You may not have a clue yet, so my suggestion is to play the tracks I play. You can be innovative and take a shot at Laurel, Monmouth, Saratoga, Gulfstream, blah blah. You may hit 1 or 2 lucky shots, but generally those aren't tracks you'll make money at, with this method. Good luck all-

PRESQUE TOP-3 PLATINUM 9-9
Good lookin' out, Bob. Did you happen to notice both of the horses made the "Top-2" Platinum list due to one of the original top-2 picks scratched out?
Once, I didn't see a scratch of my original horse--so let it ride. Yes I got my wager on the scratched horse refunded--but the horse that moved into his top-2 spot won and paid over $30.00.
Will give Presque a look at EXOTIC BETS Top-3 Platinum:

Actually I did not notice that one of the three listed as greater than 10-1 actually made it because another horse was scratched -- the first thing I do is wait until approx. 30 min before 1st race and then load plat and put in scratches (really slow and carefull !) and then run 1/2 spot play and look at list for 10-1 or greater -- you have to put the scratches in. Those 3 listed looked good (there are times when they don't look so good) one of em was second also.

BEST-FIVE PRESQUE 9-10

No turf races @ PID...in fact mostly mostly maiden sprints today.
Anyone any good with maidens? Post em up, let's see what you got.

My experience has been that the P1/P2/ML angle has the least success with maiden races . . . lots of plays, very few winners, at least in my experience

Very true, Phil...just not enough info to go on, with many maidens. Still hit two out of three maidens (the 3rd one ran 2nd)
Once again...top-2 Platinum Power scored again--only one play today with ML 10-1+ @ PID: 8th race MISSIONATTHESPA 10-1 ML toasted the field for a sweet $31.40 payoff.
If you had played the top-2 power in all 8 races, or just boxed them both in exactas...you would have profited nicely today.

Outstanding Greg:
I know that you have mentioned this many times before, but, it definitely bears mentioning again I know that a certain other Prime Power number never gets payouts routinely in the Double Digits with the regularity Platinum does.
