Yeah I mainly get the show via BitTorrent to find time, it's worth the indulgence.

While I really like Saul, I think Breaking Bad is one of the greatest TV shows of all time. It is Shakespearean in plot, tone and of course tragedy. And many critics agree.

I suspect that part of the cult attraction, was because of the use of the magnificent/ metaphoric New Mex scenery, in virtually every episode. It was a brilliant hook.

Hmmm...haven't watched yet but was just curious to see if anyone had commented on the finale. Guess it wasn't that good.

Yeah, I didn't care for the finale much either. Thought Mike would do more than he did. Although my hatred towards Jimmy's brother has escalated. Still enjoy the show, just wanted more of a cliffhanger.

The opening scene was brutal.
I thought the finale was excellent. Not gonna give any away for those who haven't watched.

I'm a very big fan of the show, but must admit that to me the recent finale was nothing special. I was expecting something more, some kind of twist, cliffhanger, etc.
anyone up for a Hoboken Squat Cobbler?

Spoilers Don't read if...
I agree it was a fairly weak season ending episode. The creators pretty much jerked the viewers around in several spots- from the opening scene to the issue with the transposition, when Ernie lied for Jimmy it seemed that was that. But no, it is not over. I realize the writers are hammering home that there is some extreme sibling rivalry and some bad blood (coupled with affection, at least on jimmy's part) but enough.
The Mike portion was ok with me though. Love shots of the beautiful southwest and enjoyed his dealing with the gun runner. And apparently it was Fring who left the note.

Finale was just OK for me. We already knew Jimmy's brother it a total tool, how long are they going to drag it out. I don't mind the slow pace of the show but you expect more in the last episode.

Why would they do that? He's one of the best characters in the show.
This is NOT Breaking Bad II.

I wasn't expecting Chuck to be killed off, I realized this reafing it elsewhere, because there is still a lot to delve into that character-what happened to his wife, how he got the phobia to electricity. Mckean is doing great too. I did expect the show to move on at least a little though. Still a great show and the penultimate episode had a lot in it.
