Nice interview. I can attest to the blizzard conditions@Fonner-been there, done that.

FYI this was not correct:
JF: I ran a second in my first race. It was at the Fairgrounds in Lincoln, NE. It is still open.

The university of NE kicked horseracing off the grounds at the state fair. They now have a partially completed track (2 furlong straightaway) in a new location and the locals were saying it will probably never be finished. I was there last weekend-nice simulcast area.
