Why did this happen? Seems avoidable but will listen to contrary opinion.

Why did a fire happen?

I'm confused at this response. I read this in the newspaper and posted it here, thought it hopefully could have been avoidable. Whatever.

I am honestly asking. I read the report as well, which had little to no information about how the fire started or what was able to be done.

When you said avoidable, I was just asking why.

fires in horse barns

the tough thing about these fires are the horses themselves. they are creatures of habit. their stall is their sanctuary, the place they seek in times of fear.

even if a horse is released from its stall in a burning barn, unless it can be secured, more often than not, they run back into the burning stall and barn seeking the false security.

The police are investigating if lightning could have caused the fire.
