Are you sure he didn't say: It is not how big the figure was, but how it was earned that really counts...? It's not the same thing you know...

Hello again Tom. I received your PM and responded to it. I don't know how this thing works.
I hope you received my reply. I am most grateful for your taking the time to respond.
I now have multiple replies in my Outlook Express inbox and yours is the only one that addresses my query! The others are not even addressed to me or my question!
What the heck is going on here????
That's why I handicap by hand. Computers drive me insane.
Thanx again bud! ~ Bob
PS I've had some people look down on me because of my username, "ogredad." They think I'm some kind of miscreant.
I will explain: My eldest daughter and I never did have a great relationship and it only seemed to get worse the older she became. She's now thirty-one. One time she accused me of always using a paddle on them. I was so shocked by this that I called my other daughter [age-30] and asked her about it.
She totally disagreed with my other daughter's accusation. Because of that I wrote a poem titled Ogre Dad. It made me look like a real monster, ha! After that, the name stuck with me.
It hasn't been a bad ride and I have fun with it.
God Bless you Tom. ~ Bob [really]!

One of the most beloved dads in all of film is an OGRE. They call him "SHREK", his films have made millions upon millions and he's loved, worldwide.
Don't ever feel badly about your choice of username.

i want to thank the people here that have either sent me the numbers or directed me to the numbers. what i have found are some really good sets of numbers that i would have never dreamt could ever happen. i can see that it takes time to get used to a set of numbers. what i have learned is that some people that make up their own numbers can be as good or better than the ones that you would have to pay for.

Except that you don't ever use capitals, I thought that is the first sane reply in this thread for awhile.

Doggonit! I never even heard of this guy so I had to look him up!
And it's interesting to think that my moniker would conjure up a character's father from a movie I've never seen.
To satisfy my curiosity I am now going to have to rent that movie.
What's your credit card number [haha]
Thanx for making my day, er, night....it's 11:42 PM CDT.

The thread was about pace numbers until it was hijacked by more recent posters.

Speaking of pace numbers...
Isn't Super Saver a pace standout in the Preakness? With Hurricane Ike out of the race Calvin will most likely find himself on the lead, unless Jackson Bend tries something funny. Thoughts...?

No, not by more recent posters. With probably little disagreement, one could safely attribute the hijacking of the thread to post 7, found on page 1.
Lamboguy is pleased he's discovered some free figures that he finds good, or better, than those he's paid for. For him, that could be a fine thing, and what he seems concerned about.

A horse running a :46 half in a sprint earns the same figure as a horse running a :46 in a route
|
I understand that is what Bris states in their explaination of their pace numbers - but when I compared the sprint to the route 1/2 mile times with the pace numbers a while ago, I found their explanation not to be true - equal times did not recieve the same pace number. Check it out for yourself, I maybe wrong.
I wish TSN numbers were still around, I liked them better than the bris numbers.
