Not incoherent at all. In fact, I've repeated it often enough that everyone gets it by now.

Except you of course.

I was simply explaining to you why things are the way they are in foreign policy land and decision making land as far as FoPo goes...but you still say you don't get it. Incoherent.

Whatever.

It makes sense the Administration would take this route. It's pretty vanilla and avoids the risk of spiraling escalation.

Iran is obviously on offense at this point and we're mostly reacting to what they do. I would have expected something a bit more drastic and forceful to get back the ball back before trying to tone it down.

Trump's comments though demonstrate how gun shy thid administration is....

Mueller and Hillary and the Democrats have nothing to do with the Executive Branch's actions towards Iran.

You wish to talk about this because our policy is saying over and over again "please call me" while sitting by a phone.

A country (we all assume this) struck civilian merchant shipping in a vital waterway and the President's response was it's a "minor thing."

I don't believe Pompeo today... at least not yet... if we knew who was behind it we would be striking. Otherwise we've totally chucked a major premise of American power and might.

The day of the strike... Donald the Dove indeed...

I'm sure Reagan would call the developments "very minor things" too...

Hey Ely, you should consider starting all of your posts with:

"Good evening, Mr. and Mrs. America from border to border and coast to coast and all the ships at sea."

The secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council called on the world to unite against the "terrorist policies" of the "savage monster" the United State.

"It is essential that the independent countries in the world adopt multilateral mechanisms and stand against this savage monster and stop it and break up the dominance of the U.S. over the world's financial system,"

And who said sanctions don't work.

All you need to know, right there.

Trump's bluster will not work with Iran. They will ramp up production of fissile materials. The next administration will have its' hands full.

Mueller and Hillary and the Dems have EVERYTHING to do with the EB's actions towards Iran.

They are operating (and have been for quite a while) under a bunker mentality. Everything they do. Everything they say. Every motion of every finger is under intense scrutiny 24/7. It's sick.

Of course all the events I mentioned have everything to do with how and what comes out of the White House these days.

Trump is the most publicity-conscious leader of nation the world has ever seen. You think this shit doesn't affect him and his administration? You of all people? Of course you agree with me on THAT! You have to, given your thoughts on Trump over the years.

And you think all that "irrelevant stuff" has nothing to do with what comes out of the White House?

Jeez. You said you're smart, right?

Although we put things into our text differently I think we agree that no President in our time has put the screws to the Iranians tighter than Donald J. Trump. I once thought the Bush's had the best record of keeping terrorists screwed to the wall, by far President Donald J. Trump has exceeded my expectations.

All of their fissile materials will be destroyed before the 2020 election.
