So a couple of you did show a small bit of interest in the bowling....well a small bit of a background....was the 1st bowler in my county to average over 220 for the season...have 300's and 800's to my credit...have the rings...won multiple scratch tourney's....although no PBA....(not quite good enough for those guys)....although did beat some of the ones still on tour in shall we say some different events...also got my ass kicked as well....that's bowling...
so to Vegas...National USBC tourney....tough shot for the average league bowler....even those that average 200+ shoot about about 175....used to call them house mouses....good on easy...terrible on tough...I had previous experience and did carry a lifetime average of 203 on that....but it had been many moons...
So...team event...one of the top five most embarrassing moments of my life...despite several weeks of practice....(which started out rougly....got better and better...so I was feeling good per sae....SHIT....didn't even shoot 400 or break 140...it WAS f'g aweful..disgusting...whatever...couldn't repeat the same shot twice....
Next doubles....150, 160, 170....better...but still ....although that's pretty close to what everyone else was shooting...
So now single's....decide to go with the style that hurt me to begin with...those years ago.....more power and revs....and I crush THE first 4 shots like on TV....my team-mates are stunned....(as was I)...a crowd was gathering already...(bowlers who haven't bowled yet...love to see who's doing good and where they are playing).........................................

Only a SMALL problem....the injury that crippled me...showed up on THAT 4th shot...it was like some-one stuck an icepick in my inner thigh....I staggered back to the bowling circle...team-mates knew it was bad...(not Durant bad...but bad enough)....if I was struggling ....would've quit right there...instead asked my buddy for ADvil...(had already taken the max before bowling... )....and ordered a DOUBLE shot of Tito's vodka....
and then proceeded to throw two more PICTURE perfect shots...how...I have no idea...But I'm TIED for THE lead in THE singles division of THE National bowling tourney at THAT point....UFB...
now the crowd watching is even bigger...at the same time....my team-mates are asking if I need a stretcher...and totally dumb-founded...as was I....it WAS comical even....if didn't hurt so much...
and then...

popped a small blister on ring finger and much bigger one on the middle one..(often called something else... )
and THOSE hurt as well...so trying super glue and skin patch on them...can't tape them...otherwise wouldn't be able to throw....also...can't have blood all over the place...(not good for bowling shoes or slippery bowling ball)...
anyways...anti-climatic here...was just to much to over-come...couldn't fully project or extend after....shot 245 that 1st game...and ended with 596 series...started missing some easy spares....still...funny tho...was higher than anyone else I was bowling with...so had the lowest and the highest...

Hey, at least you got to relive part of the old glory. That's always fun.

I once knew a woman with the biggest, the biggest, I mean the biggest hands I ever saw.
They were real and they were spectacular.

Best race calls - Meadows harness.
The echo in the PA system makes it sound somehow exciting.
Like an old B&W movie about racing.

The Mayan good luck prayer
Repeat the 3 magic Mayan prayer words that will bring you luck.
Be sure to speak them out loud and slowly and then enjoy your good fortune.
