War of Will is running today. Where is MS? Where is he? Do I have the right to ask? Do I have the right to ask if he will be in the Belmont? Please sir, my I have that right? I will donate money to who ever you choose if you give me the right not to agree with you. one dollar, if you match it. west said he would pay 5 mil to only those four horses if they beat MS, but only if they promise to donate it.And if he wins, he will donate the winnings. Using a charity is cheap, cheap cheap, and that is all he is doing
the 10% of MS's future winnings, I think that was an after thought, would have been what 180K of the KYD winnings. so to get to 5 mil, MS would have to win 50 Mil. Name one horse that has won that much?
West is PO, he has a right to be. You lost money, so your PO, you have the right to be. both of you should get a grip, or help.

If he doesn't get a race between the Derby and Travers I'd say he won't be fit enough to win it. OTOH he may just have enough natural talent that it won't be necessary.
Not sure about the good sportsmanship remarks. I find a rather large difference between a "dare" issued during an emotional experience and actual good sportsmanship.
After all, if he wanted the disabled jockey fund to have even one of those $5 million bets, he's just give it to them now. Obviously, he can afford to do just that.

Anything that brings attention to that charity is a good thing.
Although Mr West probably should have waited for MS to commit to a race, for all anyone knows, he may never return to form.

Cry me a river.
Like I said earlier in the thread,No justification is needed for helping out the less fortunate.
If you want to be the guy who whines about somebody who has donated hundreds of millions to charity (including the PDJF) and made helping seniors get affordable health care his number one priority, then you go on with your judgmental self.

A half a buck would meet that criteria.
This cry baby needs to get a suspension.
Racing is for pari mutual betting NOT sore losers to prove beyond all doubt what idiot they area. No track with any integrity would allow this kind of a sham. You enter to win a race, not beat someone else.
Go see if you buy into California Chrome.

Millions can go a long way to help handicapped jockeys.

So he has the money and can afford to donate it, BUT, not unless he can feed his ego first. Screw him.

Yeah....
Doing all of those really good things for people who need help is truly overrated.
Perhaps you can shoot Mr.West an e-mail and tell him he's spending his money the wrong way.

Then let them race on the sportsmen's farms, not a track.
On track, your only job is to win a race, NOT feed egos. Yourace to win the race, not beat another one. This is a business, not a sport.
OR make it a non-bettingrace with no purse money.
Then, have at it.
This cry baby needs to grow up.

So the hundreds of millions he's donated before was to feed his ego ?
And all of the time and effort he put in to his charities ?
I kind of thought it was to help the less fortunate.
