should be able to get nice odds on some live contenders this year. i think Vekoma and Tacitus are not only great shots to hit the super but even decent shots at winning.

I also feel that price is out of touch with the Betting Public.
Unless you guys all suddenly warm up to betting Toddy because of a father/son/uncle/cousin/nephew/pal/etc... , Tax is a certainty to be this year's wise-guy horse.

true but hes missing the 'fast' - 94 beyer closed the last 3/8 in 39.35 15th slowest final 3/8 of the field

Yep. I guess one could argue his Brisnet pace profile approximates that of Battle of Midway prior to the Derby which was good enough for a piece of the tri.. but BoM had superior breeding compared to this guy.

I could be wrong but in retrospect wasnt Battle of Midway sitting on a very fast pace in the santa anita derby and still hung on for second. I overlooked that at the time due to the bunched finish of like 5 horses figuring no one really separated them from the bunch but actually BOM staying on was basically a separation.
