im sitting extremely pretty right now, like i have never before in futures bets, im pumped.

Roadster $52.50 invested to win $11,715
Omaha Beach $75 to $9250
Maximum Security $30 to $6000
Improbable $50 to $6000
Code of Honor $42 to $3150
Game Winner $25 to $3000
Win Win Win $20 to $2300
Tacitus $10 to $2000

When your holding those types of futures bets do you just make your derby day bets playing tickets shooting for a wonky finish and a life changing super?

And I thought I was sitting good in the future pools using Game Winner over and under the All Others in first three pools and Improbable over and under in the second and third pools. Plus some WWW sprinkled in. Good luck to you, Sir. Hopefully we both collect.

Your view may depend partially on whose figures you are looking at or if you are looking at figures at all.

On the merits, I can see why most people think Omaha Beach is the better horse. He's been faster. We just aren't 100% sure how much faster.

However, if you don't use figures at all you could easily conclude they are very close.

Omaha Beach was life and death to beat Game Winner by getting the best of the bob.

Roadster beat Game Winner by 1/2 length.

In both instances Game Winner spotted his opponent a lot of ground loss, but both races were on days where a lot of horses were running very well in those outside paths. Unless you think Game Winner's form varied a lot, they are probably fairly close.

You can argue that Roadster is more lightly raced and was more highly regarded than Game Winner last year. So there's still a lot of upside.

You can also argue that even though that's true, he may not be seasoned enough for the Derby yet even if he ultimately winds up being the better horse.

Mike worked both horses, he was higher on Roadster last summer. But those are only works and you cant measure a horse just on works.

I think Roadsters real future may be on turf, he has that acceleration that is more like a turf horse.

Baffert was also supposedly higher on Roadster. So was the public when they met for the first time and Roadster had an issue that required surgery. All of this may mean nothing, but assuming Omaha Beach is the better horse because figures say he's been faster so far may not be as solid as people think.

I really like Roadster more than Omaha, but the problem I see looking at all Roadster races is that he's lazy on the backstretch, usually losing position, and that can be a high cost in the Derby.
Anyway, to me is pretty similar to Arrogate.

the poll says Omaha or Roadster.

It doesn't say for what? the win?

Who is the better horse for 10F? Is that the question?
