Had you told me Hidden Scroll would’ve been 3rd early behind a slow pace I would’ve said you are crazy.
That made no sense.

As pointed out Maximum Security was started in MC ranks and hope that deters some people. After all, if you look at his works coming in to that race they were slow and the trainer might have based his opinion on that. Moved up to protected ranks and even with the slow works, won again, then repeated the win impressively. Will sit two wide, just behind the and looks like he can take that one when he wants.

Hidden Scroll still has a shot, but did not like how he acted when passed in the last race. Looks to be a need the lead type.
Harvey Wallbanger, Bourbon War, and Code of Honor, seem to be the same but Code of Honor is the best of them.

Nice going guys!
So Javier was supposed to ride better than Joel, huh?
Javier must think he's riding at Aqueduct.
Dumb ass ride.
Pure dumb ass.
Now he can run in the Pat Day.
I would suggest Joel ride.

I pray they will pound Maximum Security in the Derby, he will be nowhere. Absolutely brutal slow fractions on an easy lead will not translate to success in the Derby. What was Castellano doing on the That may have been the biggest head scratcher ride of the year. Trainers lie their ass off. Servis said his horse wasn't going to the lead. He had intentions all along if he could get it. I just made a small bet on Code of Honor, I knew I was in trouble after the half mile time. On to the next set of preps next week.

Fantastic.
Nobody bet the Derby today. And the excuses made for Hidden Scroll continue to mount.

Wondering why the fastest horse early in the race was wrangled back to 3rd behind a slow pace isn’t making an excuse.

The pace worked out for him. This was the THA pick, not the chart.

He came home in 36 with a 112.90 3/4. Does that qualify or is that 3/4 too slow?
