And the Democrats are just as stubborn and narrow-minded on this issue as Trump is. So if they say money is the issue, I don't believe that either.

So you just dismiss the opinions of the people putting their lives on the line on the border as some kind political hacks looking to pad their budgets?

Where is most of fencing going to be installed. The Texas border.
They have a river there. And most of the land is inhospitable to humanity.
Waste of my and your cash.

Ever see any videos of the border patrol chasing people who easily cross the river? Normandy was inhospitable to humanity.

Media bias

If KUSI was a mouthpiece for conservative ideas you could easily dismiss what CNN did. I was actually watching the newscast live when KUSI reported what CNN had done. Walls are working in San Diego but CNN doesn't want the "news" to get out.

No land will need to be "seized" from anyone along the border. The Roosevelt Reservation of 1907 preserves 60 ft. of land along the US side of the border, it is effectively an easement.

It only takes a few...
If it was me I would be pissed. Land is a pretty sacred thing amongst the Right in this country.

Anyone who doesn't want the wall built along his back yard, we build it along his FRONT yard.
Easy peasy.

Here is an idea - why not spend some of this time that both sides have on their hands to discuss WHERE and WHAT TYPE of barriers would be most effective and build where it makes sense and not where it doesn't. And involve those who do the partols in the discussion?

Secondary to national security.

Its been mentioned that along the Rio Grande several places where wall is being built is being done so on land outside of easement areas...
Here is one example:
Trump’s border wall threatens to end Texas family’s 250 years of ranching on Rio Grande
Now I'm sure some people will be fine with a wall... others won't... their objections though aren't irrelevant.

I own a lot of land... its not a dodge... its a valid reason. Forcing people off of their property is a big deal.
Property ownership is a founding principle of our Democracy. Its one thing if a elected Congress votes to do it.
Its an entirely different thing if a President circumvents Congress and attempts to do it by legal loophole. That's authoritarianism.

If they have objections, let them post them in this thread - where you won't.
