The double standard in middle-East politics:

Why does one country in that region get a pass on its nuclear bombs and program, and another is not allowed to develop a program without being bombed...?

We either believe in the idea of national sovereignty or we do not...
The argument that one country “needs atomic weapons to ensure its survival” must surely be acceptable for another country to say as well...

I've listed 7 or 8 benefits to staying there... all basically untouched.

I've pointed out our investment there is actually very minimal.

This talk about oil and NeoCon regime change is all just muddying the waters and ignoring the actual reasons we are there...

The Saudis have agreed to fill the void in Syria by sending their own troops in to protect the Kurds in the region, and the Arab League as it should be.
Relax people Trump has this.

Ummm... Wut?!?!

No dude... just... no...

That's a worse idea than just letting the Kurds get slaughtered.

I assume you're referring to this:

Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia join forces against Iran in Syria
Secret talks reach understandings with Russia that will enable Israel to retain the freedom to attack Iranian and Hezbollah targets in Syria.

OR...

We could just... I dunno... stay there and keep accomplishing our goals...

The article goes on:

Quote:
“Israel launched a campaign to expose and neutralize cross-border terror tunnels on our northern border with Lebanon. These tunnels were built by Hezbollah with direct support and funding from Iran. … Israel will continue to act in Syria to prevent Iran’s effort to militarily entrench itself against us. We are not going to reduce our efforts; we’re going to increase our efforts,” said Netanyahu.

Behind closed doors, Israeli officials were critical of Trump’s decision. One senior minister called it a “horrifying moral and a bad diplomatic step.”

“The move does not serve Israel’s interests, harms the Kurds, strengthens [Turkish President Recep Tayyip] Erdoğan and will give Iran additional routes through which to send weapons to Syria,” said the minister.
"Relax people Trump has this"

Is probably the funniest thing I've seen so far today... but its early.

the minimal investment saved, will be more than enough to build a spear barrier along our hostile borders.

TIL I learned Mitch McConnell and the rest of GOP leadership is "lefty."

Also learned National Security Policy is subject to left/right domestic politics.
