Clearly there's something wrong with the 4 since he wasn't used hard but yet completely faded to dead last in the final quarter making it obvious the horse is unfit. Maybe he partied a bit too hard Friday night.
On the bright side, this clear indicator of a horse not ready to give a winning effort underlines the potential importance of watching the warmups.
At 3-5 odds it's obvious that not many noticed that bad looking warmup. I'm so glad I reconsidered the situation.
