Cmdr. Cameron Yaste, the Commanding Officer of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS John S. McCain (DDG 56), was recently photographed shooting a 5.56×45mm M4 carbine with the optics installed backward.

The now-deleted image and press release on the Defense Visual Information Distribution Service website featured Yaste shooting the M4 with the Trijicon VCOG scope installed backward while pointed at a giant target balloon.

I think the tribal leaders keep all the spoils to themselves. Other than the casinos, hotels, and restaurants plus a few homes Indian Reservations are mostly ghettos. I used to live close enough to the Soboba Indian Reservation in San Jacinto to hit a golf ball on it from my driveway. Only 500 people but they dominated the police blotter in the Hemet News. A lot of them would go into town get loaded on fire water and come back and start shooting at each other. Between ditching the drunks coming back to the reservation and the Scientologist weirdos wandering around by and on the road at night by their headquarters, a couple miles on my nightly drive home required maximum attention.

The State taking over prosecutions

“Unfortunately, locally elected prosecutors like myself face enormous challenges when prosecuting public corruption cases, because political retaliation is very real, as we have seen,” Ogg said.

Shane Attaway, a division chief for the Texas Attorney General’s Office, said his office will be assisting the Harris County DA’s Office and the Texas Rangers on these cases. He also said his office plans to bring the cases before Harris County juries “when the time is right.”
