It should be clear that most people who get interviews in the corporate media are generally not deemed to be a serious challenger to the status quo political/economic order. AOC seems to fit this profile at present , but time will tell and AOC will have to face reelection in short two years. She managed to work the primary system to her advantage last.

She took out a Senior Leadership Incumbent and has national exposure...

She's untouchable for a couple of cycles.

Anyone know anything about the demographics of her district?

With the right voter base, her moonbeam Green New Deal, and the fact that it isn't going anywhere, would be a plus for the future.

Cook rates her district as D+29...

Add in her national recognition and the $$$ that brings... yeah... she's untouchable.

It's not clear if that happens before or after upgrading all existing buildings in the country for energy efficiency. But then we will all live happily ever after, including "economic security for all who are unable or unwilling to work".

This bunch is so goofy that even Pelosi isn't buying into it. Little Miss AOC is pushing this in Congress, but Pelosi didn't even put her on the new special climate change committee.

Are the liberals proposing a massive underwater system to get them from Hawaii to the mainland?

Is the high speed rail going to be powered by electromagnetic forces?

It is not cow farts, but eructation (bringing up cud from their rumen for more chewing) that releases most of their gasses. Personally, I would rather eat steaks and hamburgers than lawn clippings.

I wouldn't expect your package overnight either...or anything ordered off Amazon. Now the dumbass says she's rewriting a revised updated green plan.
Evidently the fog lights finally lit in her brain.

I can only assume a group process was used to put actual ink to paper in a submittable form, and then affirmed by a number of people.

Blanket support was given by nearly every 2020 Dem candidate for this proposal.

Somebody needs to convert this entire thing to crayon font.

I read through this just now and more of it is geared toward socialism than climate.

The article linked below points out that many of the major proposals of the plan are not possible because of state and local zoning laws, historic district regulations, etc.

Ben Stein on Fox says that the Green New Deal shows big problems with our educational system.

Quote:
It depends on education, we have a society in which there are an awful lot of people who have no idea that Stalin, Hitler, Mao Zedong all came to power promising the same kind of things that Miss Ocasio-Cortez is promising and it led to mass murder, it led to dictatorship, it led to genocide. These promises are old promises and they invariably lead to bad things.
