They are calling for impeachment Monday in Virginia.

Due Process.

Ever hear of it?

Guilty or not is not the issue....

Isn't impeachment a step in the due process system?

Meanwhile... Republicans have Steve King and put up a pedophile for Sessions' senate seat.

Its a pretty easy messaging battle to win. They're winning it.
The Old Guard Dems didn't care how these socialist candidates got elected, they just wanted the win. Now that they are in the fold, the OG wants to dictate what they can and can't say publicy…...While this is going on, Trump is slowly draining the Swamp, and systematically deconstructing the Old Guard of both parties.....Looks to me like a train-wreck is dead ahead for the Dems first, thus the slow to change mode of the GOP.....The Dems will eat their own, the GOP will do far less of this type of destruction.

I think you're wrong in who buckles first. This is party marching orders from the Democrats but its near universal in its messaging...

Republicans are in a bind the other way in that they simply can't afford to lose any more people... they're already screwed in that they are a minority party under this current configuration.

You guys already booted us out of the party... you can't win now... and you can't afford to lose anybody else.

Studies show they are even less enamored with the WH.

Republicans are in no bind, the party is in transition like a snake shedding an old skin. The new Republican party has less RINOs in it and every time it sheds a skin it sheds more Rino's. Those Rinos are now Ultra liberals and have NO place being a cancer on the party. The new Republican party is picking up Democrats that identify closer to what long ago was a JFK Democrat who was a stone cold capitalist. These Democrats leaving in droves are mortified by open borders and socialism, large numbers of independants are also swinging to President Donald J. Trump. Some are going to try to dangle the mid term elections as proof of something but every President gets the shot in the ass from mid term elections. What events occur between now and the 2020 elections are the unforeseen that is the real question, a very positive deal with China will enabe a slam dunk for President Donald J. Trump. Pulling out of long term conflicts will also hurt the left. I pray for the perfect storm for our country, and yes I will love watching some squirm. But to be completely honest we are almost at the point of not needing a perfect storm, AOC and a few others are enough to implode the party they call home.

Had some time to kill, so I re-read this thread for fun. Folks on both sides guessed wrong...None of these guys have resigned or been forced out....so someone again tell me about these "purity tests" Dems use that Reps don't. Do these tests take longer to get back the results?

Purity tests are still in place but there is really nothing they can do to force out Northram.

You think a Republican would still be in office given the same exact history?

If you say yes, then God help you.
