I was shocked at all the $2.15 for regular prices around here (dead center in the middle of Long Island) and not far from the highways either. The LongIslandGasPrices website indicates that regular averages under $2.50 for the first time in a long time.

$1.91 in Beaverdam Virginia. I find gas prices geographically backward here compared to how they were in California. In California gas was generally more
expensive in outlying areas. That made sense as they were further from refineries and distribution centers. In Virginia gas is 20-30 cents more expensive along the major highways and in major cities than in the one horse towns like where I live. When I was moving East a handful of years ago I paid almost a $1.00 more a gallon in Needles Ca (middle of a desert population 5K) than I had in Riverside Ca. (largest city in county population 300k) I believe the cheapest gas in 5 trips across the US the cheapest gas was always in Albuquerque New Mexico.

However, I constantly see HIGH gas prices usually from Lukoil like $3.98 in Vorhees, NJ yesterday. They always top the list for high gas prices. I guess ya gotta be desperate to buy it there.
