And thanks to everyone who helps make presentation of the Medal of Freedom to Yogi necessary.

Yogi will be missed, what a guy. Yogi was an amazing hitter. He would swing at almost every pitch regardless of where the pitch was. I saw him get key hits on pitches that were a few inches off the ground or a foot over his head. This guy had Ted Williams-like hand-eye coordination. Truly remarkable because the more you swing at pitches out of the strike zone, the lower your average should be.

oh so true Pandy.
It's a wonder he never cracked a rib or threw his back out the way he swung.
A real Dirt and Gut player,
RIP Yoggi

RIP, Yogi, there will be a packed house at your funeral.

Loved Yogi and those Yankee teams of the 60's. The best catcher to ever play baseball hands down.
Rest in Peace, tough guy.

America has lost a great player, manager, and showman who gave 100% every time he took to the field.
Condolences to Yogi's family.

If he's not the most beloved Yankee ever, he's awfully close.
