Indiana invader working well since running evenly on turf 08-18.

5
#3 Justalittlesmoke

She’s smoked her foes 6 times including 5 Stakes and 3 for 3 at MVR.

#1 Lady Buckeye

Perfect 3 for 3 record. She gets acid test today jumping into a Stakes.

#6 Beth’s Bling

Not disgraced at Santa Anita or in Ohio Bred Stakes. Might get a piece.

6
#2 U Rock Robin

Was overmatched in Stakes routing on turf and dirt. Rocks in sprints.

#3 Pebbles Pick

Game win here on opening day breaking her Maiden. Repeat possible.

#1 Nanny

6 year old mare likes to pick up checks. Only win was at MVR 04-06.

7
#3 Seventyseven

Wheels back in 12 days for hot connections. Best races have been here.

#11 Art I Awesome

T-Down shipper gets significant class drop. Last 4 races were live ones.

#5 House of Prayer

Solid debut 11-3 at 5 panels. Has plenty of early speed and back class.

8
#6 Cape Finisterre

Fine effort 1st try here 11-2. Showed zip but dropped over to dead rail.

#11 Wu Doo Man

Woke back up with a solid 3rd 11-7. Barn has been scoring with bombs.

This cat needed his last race at T-Down. Had nice kick both races here.

Spicey Saturday card at Mahoning Valley

Several very attractive races that may help us begin to sort out connections ready to compete against the improved (in my opinion) stock showing up at MVR 2015-16.

Don't forget to tune in Monday Nov. 23rd for the 200K Steel Valley Sprint for 3 year olds. The top 3 finishers of the 100K Perryville at Keeneland on the Breeders' Cup under-card face off again. The under-card co-feature is the 75K Hollywood Gaming Mahoning Valley Distaff. Midwest sprinting star Heykittykittykitty is the Morning Line favorite and will battle local star Chella.

I think another factor in the improved racing at MV is the break that Mountaineer is currently taking.Hopefully as Finger Lakes winds down,MV can get their horses, when Mountaineer returns.

Must say the field sizes are much better than last year, even though the purses are still lacking. Not sure what MVR will do with the Saturday racing, as wagering is weak....Pretty much lost among the big boys. Being primarily a pk4 player, I love the 15% takeout, but the pools are still too small to chase. Admittedly, Mondays and Tuesdays are getting better, but I'm out on those days as most tracks are dark.

Mountaineer horsemen are certainly a key reason for full fields at Mahoning Valley. However, they are struggling mightily finding the winners circle to this point in the meet.

Purses at MVR are competitive with CT and Haw. I think they will be better than TP if I am reading the condition book correctly. Those tracks seem to make up the winter circuit in the mid west.

Aren't the big league tracks the home courts for pk4,5,6 players?

$5000 claimers at MVR run for a purse of $7000. CT is $10,500
$7500 claimers at MVR run for $10,000. $8000 claimers at CT run for $14,000.
Etc.....

So, not really competitive. I don't follow Haw, and don't bet the plastic at TP, so I can't comment on their purses.
