Forget about the other guys. That RTN deal is just great.
For several years we had Dishnet just for RTN. (Also had cable.) It was very cool to have horse racing on 7 TVs at once, but between the cost of the basic Dishnet and the equipment, it was like $135 per month.
RTN for $15 is just the best.

RTN $15 - is that through the internet?
Sounds great.
I originally bought DISH to get TVG for $24.95 and it now $90!
I would love to get all the tracks.

I tried to set up a NYRA Bets account.
I used a VPN to make it look like I was in New York.
Didn't work. Message returned "We could not verify your information"
Apaprently, NYRA and perhaps other on line betting platforms have gotten wise to those who are trying various ways to set up accounts.
My best guess is they look at the applicant's social security number and tie them to the last known state of residence.
It may not matter for me though
The NC Senate passed a bill allowing the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Nation which owns two casinos in NC to begin offering wagers on sports and horse racing. The drawback is the legislation does not have a provision for on-line wagering. North Carolina is home to many religious conservatives who have this busy body mentality that anything "fun" is a violation of God's will and thus should be illegal. Slowly, these people are losing their grip on the Tar Heel State.
So there is hope that before I move out of the 'buckle of the bible belt', I'll be able to make a legal bet without having to travel 3 hours to a casino

This delay is and always will be an issue.
In order to get the image to the user, several steps must be completed in order for the product to get to market.
This will always be an issue for those who prefer to wait until the last possible moment to place their wagers.
For years to come, the issue will be "what you're seeing now happened a few minutes ago".

If TVG has anything in store for its viewers, it would be that its going to be more of the same.
Quite frankly, the only significant change the network has made since its inception is it was able to gobble up its competitor, HRTV

DO you have more than one computer on which to watch the feeds you happen to be betting?
Assuming of course many tracks are racing "on top of" each other.

Yeah, this is really a deal breaker- no matter how much better the HD feed is than cable channel, it's just too cumbersome having to be mindful of the delay. I gave it a try but I'll settle for the fuzzier picture in real-time

That is about what I find even on TVG, but occasionally I'll get a little lag so you do need to pay attention to the MTP on your ADW.

I noticed the time lag on TVG while at favorites in NJ quite a while ago when I noticed people rooting for horses that had already crossed the finish line, to "come on, get up". Come to find out they had TVG on the screen and not the track signal itself. I kind of laugh to myself now when I hear them. It is also why I bet a couple of minutes early when at home watching because I don't trust the post time of some of the broadcasts.

I've found that my horses don't run any faster in HD or on my TV.
