I used to be a strong advocate for the Israeli position. I admired their resolve and fortitude in the face of overwhelming opposition. And I was appalled by the indiscriminate violence of the terrorists.
To a great degree this is still true. But more and more we find both sides targeting civilians. More and more we find Israel evicting Palestinians from homes they have occupied for decades. All based on very questionable documentation from the 1870s.
Israel has changed in the last ten or fifteen years. They no longer occupy the high moral ground. That is the fault of Netanyahu.
Pipeline shutdown.
Biden administration has identified the perpetrators and is working to punish them. There is no need for the president to make hourly comments.
Vaccination rate cratering.
It’s not cratering. We are still vaccinating almost 2,500,000 people a day, five times what we were doing at the end of Trump’s term.
And the slight slowdown is not caused by the Johnson and Johnson pause. It is entirely the result of the anti Vaxxers and the vaccine hesitancy of so many Trump Republicans.
Floundering economic news.
That’s a joke, right? We are averaging 700,000 new jobs a month. The 266,00 jobs we added in April were more than there were added in most months of the first three years of the Trump administration.
