While the survey breaks down the party affiliation of the respondents, it's interesting that the survey neglected to include the weighting.

I'd be willing to bet that 125 out of those 154 "scholars" are diehard Democrats, or Democrats who claim to be "independent" in order to appear non-partisan. We're talking about academia, after all.

Example: Republicans ranked Ronald Reagan as the 5th greatest president. Democrats ranked him 18th. His final ranking was 16th. Imagine that.

The survey also shows that Republicans rank Bill Clinton as the 10th greatest president while Democrats rank him 12th. That's where I stopped reading.

I do agree that the race baiting started with him. He had a chance to be a MLK type inclusionary person and finally get America to a final reconciliation post-civil war, but his heart is black (pun intended) and he went with Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and his preacher anti-semitie.

He would have been great if he had just challenged his base instinct as a comunity agitator and become a uniter.
