I didnt play Maxfield because I knew he wouldn't make the starting gate on 5/2. Glad I only played a few small plays in pool 2 and skipped pool 3. I think the tickets should be refunded

They said all bets remain live. Your 2-month investment will now sit an extra 4 months...probably feeling good if you got in on 'all others' before it gets hammered in pool 4.

I think they should have refunded and started a new Pool 1.

Amateur hour.

Futures bets should always have a shelf life for event completion.
If they didn't list rules covering a change of date, it's a sham.

1-2 weeks is a reasonable period to allow for completion.
After that, all bets are refunds.

They stole your guys' moneys. I didn't play the future, but I'm surprised more people aren't upset.

I used the All Others heavily in my exacta combos in first three pools and also the Oaks/Derby double. The move seemingly boosts my prospects of cashing but it's a couple hundred dollars of dead money for a long time even if I do catch a mild windfall. Pool 4 will go ahead as planned. Mildly curious if additional pools will be offered thereafter.

i don't think the future bets that were made at the casino's will be live in september. they usually have a specific date that the event my be played by.

At my age, I don't play Futures bets; hell, with this virus thing, I don't even buy green bananas -LOL! Heading up to Ocala Jai-Alai to play Gulfstream and Tampa if everything's still open and running. I don't have to worry about large gatherings - there are only a handful of us horseplayers there on a weekday.

Churchill says they're "honoring" the bets made. That's like a hotel in Louisville "honoring" your non-refundable reservation for May 1st-3rd at full Derby weekend prices.

Any way you look at it, the bet drastically changed with the 4 month delay. It's now a total ripoff. I'm glad I didn't bet it this year. If I did I'd be super POd. If Churchill doesn't have the integrity to offer to cancel bets I hope the OTBs and other wagering sites do the right thing for their customers, for once, although I can't see the greedy bastards doing that.

I’m not upset either. I don’t like the bet to begin with unless you try 30-1 or more. But you are right, 4 months in horse racing? Add to it the fact the future is uncertain as to racing at all for a while. You might as well be betting on going in your front yard with your favorite Golf Driver over your head During a storm and the wager is you get hit by lightning. If your bet is something in the low odds range. Just throw your money on the floor for crying out loud . Rip and off

They do have a shelf life, December 31, 2020.

In my opinion, that's too big a window.
May 31st would have been more realistic.

Would you, or anyone, have a link to their listing of wagering rules?
I'm wondering how comprehensive they were in the first place.

I don't have any bets on Derby futures this year, but those who do
should have access to a copy of the list.

April Fools

I just fell for it.

They posted on Twitter that CDI decided to refund all Derby futures bets.
There I was....thinking for 2 minutes that they made the right decision.

Silly me

there has to be some future bet that might be a good play. is there a site that offers flat odds as we speak?

it might be wise to look at a few horses at long odds that wren't even considered before the push back of date.
