Ummm...
If someone shot 18 bullets at me and only hit me with 8, I would hardly say that I emerged from the ordeal unscathed.
Being convicted of 8 felony counts is a long, long way from avoiding prosecution.
The word is that Manafort has finally decided to concentrate on his singing lessons before he is sentenced for EIGHT FELONY COUNTS.

Yes, but is he qualified?
Presidential checklist:
1. Violate campaign finance laws
2. Extra-marital sex
3. Murder
And I'm not pointing the finger at any one president or candidate. This seems to apply to all presidents and presidential candidates. If they prove that they can beat these raps they are probably qualified.
Now, whether they actually did them or not is a different matter. But if they did do them and they did beat the rap then they are almost certainly qualified.

There is another side to that. Pointing out the tepid jury goes a long way on appeal.

I have addressed this before, but you just aren't good at remembering things that don't fit into your world view. If Nixon had won Illinois he still would have lost the election, 286 electoral votes to 246. But more importantly there was an investigation into the 1960 election in Illinois which failed to result in any convictions. The Republican dominated State Board of Elections ended the investigation one month after the election. And there were strong indications of fraud in Republican areas downstate which were never investigated.
To put it more simply, there was no widespread fraud and if there had been, it would not have changed the results of the national election.

You keep asking the same question, and it is the wrong question. Now is not the time for proof. Prosecutors told the judge at the plea bargain that they have proof, including but not limited to voice recordings which will tie Trump to felonies committed by Mr. Cohen.
You can keep saying you haven't seen proof yet, but you should prepare yourself for the day when you do. That day is coming as sure as anything.

As far as proof so far... we already have recordings between Trump and Cohen discussing payoffs that resulted in a felony plea deal.
Secondly, every goddamn thing out of the President's mouth so far has proven to be a lie... literally every ****ing thing so far.
Do I believe he's suddenly not now when all the evidence is marching towards the fact he is crooked AF? No.
Furthermore this is a whole new and very real threat to his presidency who as I said he can "mostly" avoid by simply resigning. Becoming a martyr for his stupid base. And letting Pence take over.
OR...
He can continue down the same road that he's been on for the past year and half... constantly lying... constantly caught doing it... constantly making matters worse...
I'm sure he'll choose the latter because ultimately... I was right... he is a goddamn idiot.

You do realize, that even if the accusation is 100% factual, it amounts to nothing but a campaign finance violation. And even that is far from guaranteed.
